non disney photographer

We are having a memories wedding, with the guest count at the 6 maximum.
Are we allowed to hire a second photographer of our own (non disney) to take photographs or video the wedding as well as the disney photographer who will be assigned to us ?

If the same applies to the Escape wedding then yes. We had an Escape wedding which includes Disney Photography. We also hired Randy Chapman as our main photographer. The Photographer Disney provided worked along with Randy and took Photo-journalistic type photos. It was really nice having the 2 of them to get shots the other one couldn't. It was also nice to have a different point of view since everybody sees things and captures things differently.

The only problem would be if your ceremony took place inside a park but I don't think any of the memories collection do so you should be ok.

Also, just be sure your outside photographer is okay working with the Disney photographer there. Some photogs state that they be the only one there. Hope that helps!

Our non-Disney Photographer was not counted as a guest. Randy has done a couple of the new Memories Collections lately. Here is the link to his FB page if you want to see.

We were told by our planner that the outside Photographer does count as a guest. So in our case, ours did count toward the final count.

Thanks for this info!! Even though the orginial post wasn't mine, I was wondering the same thing!

We've been thinking of getting an additional photographer for some extra photos at the resorts, but most wedding packages are either for too much coverage or too much money.

Randy might be an option for us. It's just the two of us so our guest count is fine. I'll have to contact him.

Definately check out Randy. I think he has just posted a new memories wedding package and also a package with Stan from STVS video. I recommend them both. We had a wishes wedding and used the joint package they offered. They work very well together and I am really happy with my pictures and video.

I am sure Randy will tailor his services to whatever you need!!
He is doing a TTD session for us a few days after our VR and that will only last a couple of hours

He also has a new Memories package on his website and a joint package with Stan (STVS) for Memories weddings

I am actually using both Randy and Stan. I called them last week and talked to Stan and he informed me I was the first one who was interested in having him at a Memories collection and said he and Randy would be constructing a new Memories Package! Im SO excited about using them both, and we will also be doing the webcast of our wedding.
