Non-Disney Honeymoon?

We are staying in Disney after our wedding with family and friends but our real honeymoon will be going to Europe.

We are taking a week cruise from Barcelona to Monte Carlo, a few places in Italy, Tunisia, and some other places. Then we are spending a week in the south of spain on a beach. :thumbsup2

Our "real" honeymoon will be a delayed trip to Europe through Contiki tours (about 6 months after our wedding)

I am having my honeymoon in Disney, however, my wedding is in Puerto Rico, which would be a great place to honeymoon. We are getting married on Vieques, which is a small island off the mainland of Puerto Rico, it has one of the brightest Bio Bays and it's more laid back and not as touristy as mainland Puerto Rico.

However, Puerto Rico has rainforest, beaches, lots of things to do and you don't need a passport. It just depends on what you want to do.

We're going to spend a week at Disney for the Wedding and have our Honeymoon in Hawaii.

We were married @ WDW in December and spent 5 days in WDW both before and after the wedding and our actual "honeymoon" was 2 weeks skiing in Squaw Valley, CA starting 5 days after the big day. We live in SW FL & in the heat and 5 min from the beach so a beach honeymoon anywhere was not ideal--we wanted winter!!! :rotfl:

We're planning on going to an all inclusive resort in Mexico for our honeymoon. From Florida, flights are pretty cheap, but from here they're astronomical, so we figured we might as well go while we're in Florida!

We're having our official honeymoon this October, we're going to Miami, then on a Caribbean Cruise, then up to Disney for a while.

We're leaving two days after we're married on a cruise through the Panama Canal. Both DF and I are big into travel!

We would have done a Disney cruise (to stick with the theme!), but the timing didn't work out with our Monday wedding date. Maybe for our first anniversary.... ;)

We went to Jamacia 3 months after the wedding. This only way we could afford to get so much time off, b/c we spend 11 nights at Disney for the wedding.

We spent a few nights in Disney then went on a cruise to the Bahamas. It was fantastic - very romantic! We've been on a couple cruises since and it's always an amazing time!

Oh that's good to know, it's my first cruise this October. Was it a Disney cruise?

Our honeymoon cruise was Royal Caribbean and the last two were Holland America. Next time I'd like to do Princess or Celebrity. I LOVE cruising and really didn't think I would. We chose a cruise for our honeymoon because of time constraints and we wanted something easy and inexpensive. It was only a 3-night and the whole trip ended up being less than $500! Since that first one I'm hooked, and our last two have been 5 and 7-night cruises. It's the most romantic, fun, stress-free way to vacation! DH says no Disney cruise until we have kids :rotfl:
