Well if you love Disney holidays as you love the Theme Park experience either as or part of the holiday there are loads of other destinations that can fulfil this desire.
For full holiday we go to Costa Duarada in Spain (Salou area), just over an hour south of Barcelona. The theme park is Port Aventura. Many years ago it was owned by Universal and now also has a Ferrari Land add on theme park (its add on as not big enough to be considered a whole day park and they give you access to main park with majority if not all of tickets for it. For me this parks shows are equal to Disney, just lacking their quality of characters, but the park does have some.
Or in France near Poitiers Futuroscope is pretty good for couple of days, although in quieter times you can pretty much do it in 1. I went there last year having been previously about 20 years before and was surprised to find it had all bar 1 or 2 attractions been completely rebuilt. Technology is at the heart of this park. Like DLP they use Lineberty (think online on day FP booking) but unlike DLP you could book all rides on it on the day we went and you could book for whole party from every phone with you!
Not that far from there is the far less known Puy du Fou. I’ve not been able to get here yet, but I will one day. This is a park not like others in that there are not any Coasters or thrill rides. It’s all about different types of medieval shows. In high summer the night show Cinescene I’m told by French relatives is amazing and what is most unique about that show is that all its performers are complete amateurs and paid nothing for doing it. Indeed the park grew out of them doing this show, which is changed every year so I understand.
