Non-Disey suggestions for an adult only get-away?

It will be Auguest & waaaayyyy to hot for WDW (besides it wouldn't feel right without my boys). Boys will be visiting their out-of-state cousin for a week in Aug. DH & I are thinking of adult vacation. Any suggestions.

Vegas, baby! DH is trying to convince me to let my ds' go to camp in June, so we can go back!

But, I must say, I was SO surprised at the number of families there when we went.

Geesh, Sin City, What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas -parents, leave your children at home! (btw, if I did bring my kids, who would watch them while dh and I play?!)

I would say try Dreams Unlimited, but I think they only specialize in Disney Trips and Cruises.
So, try this site Vacation Outlet. I am by no means pushing this travelagency, but I love to go there and play with destinations and dates. I'm sure there are others on the internet you could do this from too, like Orbitz, Travelocity etc.
I've been playing with Montreal Canada and Key West Florida lately, as I'd like to see both of these places someday and am trying to find somewhere where DD and I can go for a quick vacation before she heads off to college, and/or on her winter break in January.
Whatever you choose I'm sure it will be nice, just to get away.

How about a Sandals resort. My DH and I go to the Sandals Negril Jamaica every year and we love it. No kids, no singles, just adult couples. They are offering some great deals now. Actually, I seen for a 5 night stay or longer, you get a free set of Samsonite luggage too.

I would go to Las Vegas or a "couples only" all-inclusive resort on a Caribbean Island. Have fun!

I knew you guys would be full of great suggestions. The only two ideas I could come up with on my own were Vegas & New Orleans (which is where we met). Some background - DH will need more than just a beach & a bar to keep him entertained. He one of those people who is either in motion or asleep - relaxing can be a challange for him. I can relax with the best of them.
Can't wait to read more suggestions.

How about New York City? There's plenty to do there.

New Orleans and Vegas are great ideas too. Or go to a Caribbean Island that has a lot to see.

DH might enjoy that vacation without the boys or me.

Maybe I'll add that to my list of things to when I hit my WISH goal weight - 1st is hang gliding, next is scuba diving, so become a nudist will have to be 3rd on the list.

How about a trip to Sedona, Arizona? DH and I did a long weekend there a few years back and it really in gorgeous. If you have a bit more time you might want to do a couple nigts in Sedona (we stayed at a great B&B) and another couple nights in Santa Fe, NM. It is all beautiful country out there and plenty to do. I would save the Grand Canyon for a family trip, however.
