My ex is way overdue in paying child support. Over $3000 behind. I was notified that the credit bureau was notified.

Anyone out there have the past due child support show up on their credit report? Or does anyone know anything about it?

I am just curious. He has not been in our lives for over 5 years. My daughter is 10.

He lives in Florida. there is a support order and if I get it then good, if not then oh well. I survive without it. I have a great job and an excellent family.

As far as I know, my ex NEVER had it affect his credit and he was over $10000 behind. The last time my DS saw him was in 1999. In 2001, I got his parental rights terminated because he did not have any contact and basically abandoned my son. Now, if something happens to me, he can't come back and take him away from my family because he no longer has a legal right to him. He had no intention of paying the child support anyway, so I decided this was the best way to protect my child.

This is probably way more info than you wanted, but this subject REALLY gets me going! Sorry!

I could probably sit with you and just keep going on myself! I thought it was odd that the credit bureau would be notified.

I wanted him to terminate his right years ago but he refused. Now he's stuck for as long as it takes.

I guess each state is different, I am a custodial parent, but I know that in PA if you get so far behind and make no attempt to pay on the arrears Domestic Relations sends notification to the federal government and they attach the parent that is not paying supports tax refund....now if that parent is not entitled to a refund then you are kind of out of luck.
But I do not know if they report you to the credit bureau. My ex is so far behind with all his bills that one more report to the credit bureau would not even phase him.

I do get his taxes every year.

Luckily Mass and Florida have a good reciprocal (sp) support system. Seems like when dad's take off they go to Florida. His wages are also attached so when he does work, I do get a check. That's IF he works!!!!
