La Nouba is dark when we will be in Orlando in January, and we are looking for something interesting to do one night besides Disney stuff. Blue Man Group looks a little loud for my kids. 9, and 6.

I would have loved to do ICE at Gaylord Palms, but it closes down on the 3rd and we are going 17-24.

Got any ideas??

I'm not sure what you mean when you say La Nouba is "dark," but if it's in your budget, I'd highly recommend it. The kids will LOVE it and so will the adults.

I was fortunate to see the show about three years ago from one of the control rooms. A friend of mine works there and was able to get us in free of charge, including the best back stage tour imaginable.

The show is amazing. My kids and I both agree it's the best show we've ever seen in our lives.

I think the OP means that the show will not be performed while they will be in town.

There are a lot of options at night for entertainment. There are 2 miniature golf locations on Disney property.

Downtown Disney is fun to walk through at night and occasionally there is childrens entertainment that your kids can join in on as well.

It was so great when the Dixie Stampede was here in Orlando. Hopefully, Dolly Parton will bring that back in a couple years. It's such a shame to see that the plan is to now bring a Flea Market to that space.
(when the developer of the project originally planned for that location went in and bought Parton out, the recession hit and the developers plans crashed in around him-the building just sat there until the Flea Market idea came in. Just what we need another flea market :sad2:)

Yes, the show will not be playing the week we are there. Apparently they take a vacation twice a year.

What? Don't they know the world revolves around ME? Oh well.

I was kind of hoping for a kid friendly murder mystery dinner show, or some kind of attraction that isn't disney. We're already doing DTD one night. Would like something different.

Here's hoping...

My daughter loved Arabian Nights. It was so action packed, she "forgot" to eat. Plus we were able to get discounted tickets off of a site that Mary from Mousesavers recommended. It was a few years ago so I don't remember which ticket site had them for half price.

We are going to try the "Outta Control Comedy Magic Show" at Wonderworks this trip. It gets great reviews on Trip Advisor, and at only about $20/adult, it is far less expensive than other dinner shows. It has pizza and salad, which is more appealing to my kids anyway. :thumbsup2
