Non-Attraction Must-Do's at Disney

FOR ME IT IS GOING TO EPCOT IN THE EVENING JUST TO WALK AROUND WORLD SHOWCASE. GETTING A FUNNEL CAKE AND EATING IT WITH MY DH AND 2 BOYS :grouphug: AT THE FOUNTAIN OUTSIDE OF AMERICA! AND THEN WATCHING THE FIREWORKS!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I ALSO LOVE TO WATCH THE PEOPLE GOING DOWN SPLASH MOUNTAIN! :rotfl2:

I THINK THAT AFTER THIS PAST TRIP WE WILL HAVE TO ADD A RIDE AT THE FRONT OF THE MONORAIL AS A MUST DO....DS5 THOUGHT THAT WAS THE COOLEST THING GOING!! :woohoo: NEXT TIME I WOULD LIKE TO DO IT AT NIGHT THOUGH!

Sitting on the rocking chairs in Frontierland with my son, watching the folks go by and chewing the fat.

:thumbsup2

What delicious, forbidden treat do you recommend we order from the French bakery?!

I don't think you can go wrong with anything, I would say mousse, or eclair but my 11 yr old ds loves the elephant years. We usually go in and order 5/6 things and all share.

Playing in the 'Leaping Fountains' outside of the Imagination Pavilion at Epcot, and catching the water. If you were there last Fall and saw a 40 something Mom jumping up to swat the stream of water and splash her DS... yep, I must admit that it could have been me. :Pinkbounc

Dining at the Sci-Fi Dine-In, sitting in the car and watching those old movie clips and adverts.

Taking an early morning stroll around the grounds and beachfront at the Polynesian. It's so peaceful & quiet there... you can even hear the opening ceremonies going on over at the MK.

Finding 'Push' the talking trash can in Tommorrowland, and watching him interact with the kids. The look of amazement on their faces is priceless.

Talking to the CMs at DAK, especially over at Rafiki's Planet Watch (aka Conservation Station). Those who work closely with the animals are a wealth of knowledge. Many people do not realize that the animals at the 'petting zoo' are not your typical farm animals, but actually representatives of old, rare and endangered varieties of domesticated livestock. We also enjoy viewing the vets at work, and hearing some of the interesting stories they share as they care for the animals. (We personally maintain a conservation flock of rare breed poultry, and are 'members' at our local zoo, so have a special interest in the various conservation programs at DAK). Guess what I am saying is that the CMs here can be just as 'entertaining' as the actual attractions.

For me it's pin trading. My trip to WDW wouldn't be complete without trading pins with the CMs.

- Getting a margarita in Mexico!! Our family tradition!!

- Having my picture taken with Mickey!!!!

- Eating a hot dog at Casey's Corner

- Going to Pleasure Island - Adventure Club! KUNGALOOSH!!!!

The list is endless for us, but I will stop here!! :teeth:

During our last trip -- we actually left Memphis for Orlando 1 year ago today -- we had lunch at the Crystal Palace. It was incredible!

A meal at CP with Pooh and friends is now a MUST-DO for our family.

(One day, one day - when I win the lottery - I will stay at the AKL)

I was just talking about that this morning! I want to stay there so bad but just can't afford it :guilty:

My must do for WDW is eating at Planet Hollywood and Rainforest Cafe....Not at all Disney themed....but still just so "Disney."
:rotfl:

-Shopping at the World of Disney
-Riding the monorail
-watching SpectroMagic and Wishes
-eating a Dole Whip
-Sampling drinks from around the World Showcase
-Buying candy at the Confectionary on Main Street
-eating a hot dog at Casey's Corner
-Having one expensive dinner at California Grill with a table by the window

Swimming in the pool at the AKL just before sunrise with DH and having the pool to ourselves. :)

1. Munching on a turkey leg in frontierland...while playing checkers in front of the shooting arcade.

2. 2 words....DOLE WHIP!!!!

3. Buying a new Disney ornament for our Christmas tree (this year it will be 'our wedding')

4. Daydreaming over the neat-o souveniers I'd buy if I had limitless money ;)

5. Holding hands with my beloved and stealing smooches anytime we can.

6. Watching the Electric parade from the viewing area at the Main Street Train Station...

7. Catching the Wishes fireworks from in front of Dumbo's ride.. (a great spot!)

we too buy Christmas ornaments every year and add to that simply shopping in down town Disney

Beaches and Cream-no matter how long the line is we always go and get some ice cream

we also like to eat around the world at Epcot but we always start off our WS tour by having the shaved ice at kaki gori. i told my DW that we have to get back to the world soon because they have a new flavor!!!

my absolute favorite thing to do is just to stand there with my DW and watch wishes. when i am there with her it alaways makes us feel like all of the hard work we do in order to have a WDW vacation is worthwhile. nothing like beig with your soulmate and watching wishes...

Cape May Cafe ( claim bake )
Beaches & Cream ( the best burgers )
Casey's ( the best hot dogs )
Flame Tree

.....reciting the Spanish version on the monorail
.....watching the electrical light parade
.....watching Tinkerbell fly through the sky
