Nomination bracelets sold anywhere on Disney property ?

I just bought a Disney starter bracelet off eBay, and I can't wait to get started collecting charms! :earsgirl:

I discovered the Italian Charm bracelet at a classic Disney store. I had to buy 2 starter bracelets, 'cause I have large wrists, but only used half of the 2nd one. Mine's silver w/Disney logo on back. If you do a search, there are gobs of sites that carry the links, but most are the same links and close in price. My kids are soooo.. happy 'cause they got another Disney thing to buy mom

Feenie, I have not seen them in gold, or at least not enough for an entire bracelet. It's generally only the accents that are gold. Are you only allergic to silver, or stainless steele too? Because if you're only allergic to silver, you could stick to the expensive ones and not have a problem...they do make watches in these too, by the way.

Ugh...now you all got my interest peeked cause my DDis 14 and I know she would love to collect these on our trip in August.

I get what they are but what is this about getting a starter? I looked for them on Hallmark's websites and couldn't find anything.

I found another site that lists starters for $9.00 is this a good price for a starter if we'll probably be sticking with mostly the $3.00 charms?

Is it worth getting into these if we're going to be sticking mostly with the $3.00 charms or do they look like $3.00 charms (a/k/a cheap)?

There is also a web site called Pugster.com that has lots of charms at good prices. (Pugster because they have a Pug dog!)

I thought the $3 ones looked fine, no real visible difference I didn't think. On the starter, I've seen better prices, but if I were you, I'd just wait till I got to the park, because for either $7 or 9 they had one that had one charm already on it. Basically, the starter is just the blank bracelet links that you add charms to. Eventually, after buying enough charms, this isn't necessary, or only a few are necessary. I really hope that makes sense. I think it would definitely be worth it for only the cheaper ones! That's absolutely what I had planned to do, but instead I decided to wait longer and get the stainless steele...My grandmother said I'm too old not to be getting REAL jewelry...Whatever. hehe

ok I looked up these cool bracelets and it sounds like something me and DD would like also.......but how do the charms go onto the starter bracelet? I am kinda confused. Can you add and take away charms pretty easily? Are they just linked together or do they snap onto something else? Its hard to tell from the pictures I found! Thanks!

Yes, it's easy. I'm not sure quite how to explain it, but when you purchase them, they show you, or if you buy the cheaper version at Disney, there are instructions on the back. They're just linked, they don't snap onto something else (or the charms onto the plain links, which is what I originally thought).

They hook together. They are made kind of like the watches with a stretchy band. I'm assuming there must be some kind of a spring inside each link because of the tension in them. Each one has a piece that slides over. When it slides over, there is a "bar" at the end of the link. Now, the part that slides out hooks over the bar. I'm sure this is as clear as mud, but maybe you get the idea!

My daughter got the zoppini brand starter bracelet for graduation that had 3 charms on it (about $60.00) then she bought 2 more charms ($36.00) then we found the ones on ebay. I bought about 12 on ebay and paid less than $50.00 including shipping. We've only received 2 of them so far but they look just as good as the expensive ones she bought in the mall plus there's a bigger selection. I will definately buy off ebay from now on!! :D

nowellsl, are those zoppini charms or just a different brand? Either way, I'm looking into it, but I'd love to hear if they're the real thing!

I don't think the ebay ones are zoppini, I only looked at one really close and it just says stainless steel on the back. The zoppini charms she got at the mall say zoppini on the back. I'll be able to judge better when we get the rest, but so far the two we've already gotten from ebay look just as nice. She is so rough on her jewelry that I figure they're all gonna get banged up anyway!!! They have some genuine zoppini charms on ebay but they tend to go for much higher prices. The highest price I paid was $4.49 for one so far. :)

I just wanted to let those know that are considering buying a starter bracelet before their trip ...

The Kohl's flyer that came in my paper this morning advertising the Father's Day sale has them listed as 33 - 50% of this Friday and Saturday (page 5). Now Kohl's has sales all the time ... so I'm sure they go on sale quite frequently ! I'm sure these would be the cheaper version of the real thing ... but great for my DD !

Hope this helps someone ;) Cindy

What a great thread! I know that my DDs will love collecting charms. Seems like a great souvenir for me, also! And thanks for the Kohl's tip - I'll have to check it out. :D

I just bought my starter last night!!! I can't wait to get to Disney to get the charms for it!!!! I could order them on line, but I want to check out what they have there before I go that route!!! I have a bunch of gold charms of pooh and mickey that I had put on a necklace but it does not lay right so I never wear it. I always wanted a charm bracelet, but I don't like them hanging down. So this will be perfect!!! I won't be able to wear it every day since it's not solid gold and my skin reacts poorly to anything else! But I like to rotate my Jewelry anyway!! :D

We drove up to WDW for the day and I picked mine up at World of Disney store. The starter bracelet was $8 and the add ons were $3 each.
Can't wait to go back in October and get more. :Pinkbounc
