I am a selfish meanie and hate that this place has gotten so popular. It use to be a nice calm relaxing not busy place. Now it seems to be as popular as trader sams.

In April, the wait list closed a few times, but always reopened soon. We went to the podium before our wait time was up, and never had a problem getting seated on the porch for 2 people.

Agreed! We went a few weeks ago and were seated in the overflow section. It was a complete letdown. I felt like we were sitting in a cheap hotel ballroom at a poorly attended wedding reception. Wait staff rarely appeared, and it was humid and stuffy. Worst.visit.ever.

Agreed because the last time I went, my server told me that in the future they'll have to stop offering the lobster mac and cheese from the Tiffins menu due to how popular Nomad is now. So not only did the actual portion get smaller but now I won't be able to get it at all at Nomad

We’ve been there dozens and dozens of times, and this was the first time that happened. We’ve seen the door to that section open two or three times before, though. Disappointing end to a disappointing day at AK, which is our favorite park .

My happy place! We always get there a bit before they open. We want to sit outside. I love the tuna poke bowl and bread service. I get wine (from Africa).

I've been to the Nomad at a lot but I never knew that there was an overflow section. Where is it and do you have a picture? I'm curious about it, but from what you say about it I'm not eager to see it in person.

It’s at the end of the bar. There’s a set of double doors. It’s also the way the staff gets food orders. We always take pics in Nomad; however, we did not this last time.

my go to is a Jenn's tattoo and churros! I always get a Jen's tattoo to go after we eat as well

Interesting. I had asked to do this to take back to the room for DW, since she was not with me at the time. I was sitting by myself at the bar, having a beer and the charcuterie plate, and was told no on the churros to go. Haven’t tried since, although I have been back multiple times since that experience, enjoying my usual end-of-visit break prior to heading back to BWV.

I've been to the Nomad at a lot but I never knew that there was an overflow section. Where is it and do you have a picture? I'm curious about it, but from what you say about it I'm not eager to see it in person.

Here's a picture of a drink, you can see the Nomad Lounge *overflow* room in the background. It actually just looks like one of the Tiffins dining rooms.

We wanted to sit outside but we were a little late. We did not mind this room at all.

It was my son and I and one other table with parents and two young boys, both who thought it would be great fun to crawl under tables and run through the section barefoot. Parents did nothing, and wait staff came through so rarely that nothing was ever done about it. They sat another group right as we got our order. We ate our churros, slammed our drinks and headed out…into a storm. Good times.

Is this ‘overflow’ room the Tiffins dining room on that side of the building? I’m guessing so given the descriptions. That’s my least favorite room to be seating in, less themed than the other rooms and always feels hot (unlike the other Tiffins rooms which are ice cold!). Haven’t been in a bit, didn’t realize they weren’t using it regularly.

These doors? At far end of bar? If so, yes that is a Tiffins dining room. We've eaten there and it was a BORE, felt like a generic hotel dining room with mass produced art. Ironically we ended up ordering quite a few things from Nomad menu .... and since have only gone to Nomad. I wouldn't stay if they wanted me in that room again, kinda miss the whole point of going to Nomad.

Yep. Unbelievably disappointing. It was our last trip for while. Daughter getting her PhD, and son is in his last semester for his masters, so their time is limited. We’re letting our APs expire, so we did one last hurrah. What a way to go .

The Sliders & Bread service are our to go dishes there & the charcuterie is a nice mix as well.

I love the Jenn's tattoo drink, and we always get the churros. Love this place!
