How much noise/vibration have cruisers experienced with rooms at the very back of the ship? We are thinking of getting one but noticed there was a lot of vibration in restaurants at the far back of the ships. Is a lot "typical"?

On the Fantasy, we found there was a lot of vibration in the aft (even in our deck 10 room). Whether this has been fixed because of the recent repairs, I don't know.

On the Magic & Wonder, we've been in the aft on a lower deck and never noticed any vibration (other than what you would usually feel in a moving vehicle).

I'm with Mommysaurus (Fun screen name!) & PrincessShmoo. I rather like Aft located staterooms and have not noticed what I would consider excessive or even annoying vibration or noise and I am a very light sleeper. The Fantasy is the only ship I have not yet sailed with DCL but I have been on the Magic and Wonder many times, and usually aft. No problems for us.

I've been 5th floor aft on both the Magic and the Wonder. Never had any issues and loved our room location. I wasn't aft on the Fantasy so can't speak to what it's like on that ship.

8th deck, fantasy, very aft and I would not say it was anything to worry about. I have read others stating it was very bothersome to them but I hardly noticed at all. I would choose this location with no second thoughts.

We were on the Magic, deck 7 aft, and I definitely felt the vibration. We felt it even more when we went to Carioca's (deck 3) to make the gingerbread house. We were on the 5 night sailing out of Miami and it seemed to be the worst the first night and the first day (sea day). Or maybe I just got used to it. I had trouble sleeping the first night since I wasn't used to the vibration. For me, it wasn't quite like the motion of a car or train, more like a massage chair vibration but softer.

We stayed on deck 9 on the Dream and the only time we felt vibrations was when we were pulling into port. It was noticeable but not anything that would deter me from staying in an aft room again. I actually felt much more movement when we were towards the front of the ship. I would definitely stay in an aft room again without question.
