Noise reducing earphones/earmuffs allowed on rides?

Hi everybody!

My son is 4.5 yrs. old. He is autistic, has sensory issues and ADHD. We are going to Disneyland in a couple months.

Would he be allowed to wear noise reducing headphones/ear muffs on rides such as Space Mountain? I could see this being a potential safety issue though.

Would we be allowed to bring his stroller in line with us? He usually does ok waiting in line, but sometimes he'll stand/follow too close to people, bump into others, try to climb on things, run off, etc. (he's a sensory seeker). Occasionally, he'll have a meltdown and we'll have to remove ourselves from the line. I think the stroller would help reduce this behavior by providing a "safe place" for him to retreat to until its time to get on the ride.

Thanks for your help.

1) These are not typically allowed on the more "violent" rides, such as Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain.
. . . too easy to fall off the wearer
. . . may strike other riders
. . . could become entangled in ride mechanicals
. . . the person losing the gear might try to reach over to retrieve it and become injured
2) Strollers can be in-line at most rides, but not all.

Strollers will only be allowed in line if you have a stroller as a wheelchair tag. Then they are treated like wheelchairs in the parks (but not buses. You have to get out an fold them on buses). Visit guest relations to inquire about the tag

I have had my earbuds in when on space mouton with no one telling me not to, get a stroller as a wheel cair tag at guest relation ( I think that is what they call it it disneyland.

Thank you! Very helpful!

Ear buds or ear plugs? Neither are as likely to fly off and become a safety hazard as earphones would. Plus, earbuds are presumably attached to something secured on your person by their wires. Not all children will tolerate something stuck in their ears, but they might be something the OP could try.

I'm not sure my son would tolerate ear buds or ear plugs. I'm also a little apprehensive using them on a 4.5 yr. old but thank you for your reply. Now that I think about it, I've seen a lot of people wearing them in the park.

I have too seen people wear them in lines but a few rides you may have to take them off for rides

My son has worn the head phones with no issues on every ride apart from rock n roller coaster.
