Noise/Groups @ AS Music vs. AS Sports

We're going to the All Stars for the first week in December. We wanted the AS Music $49 rooms, but it wasn't available for the first night of our trip (the Saturday after Thanksgiving). They had this availability at Sports, but not at Music. This surprised me because I thought most youth groups went to Sports. Does anyone know the story on this?

Any ideas where I can find out what weeks are key times for kids groups? Any of you parents out there have experience with whether the youth groups take trips in the week right after Thanksgiving? What's this I hear about Pop Warner?

I'm traveling with two senior citizens and two sickly people, so they need their rest. One of them is mobility-challenged, though, so I don't want to end up too far from the parking (we'll have a mini-van, so close to the buses isn't necessary).

Which is worse for noise that time of year, Sports or Music? (I've been to Movies and liked it a lot, but no discounts on that yet.)

Thanks.

Last year Pop Warner was at the AS resorts the first week in December. Unforunately there are quite a few of them and I believe they were at more than one of the resorts. We didn't notice them in the parks until later in the week we had seen/heard them going around WS in Epcot.

Cannot help you out with how much noise they add to the resorts but they do stay at the All Stars. I have read before that they do go around doing their cheers most of the time. That I did witness at Epcot but we were fortunate enough to be at the GF during that time so they didn't effect us.

You might try to do a search also about Pop Warner and see if anyone posted experiences with them last year. I can see how you would be concerned about the noise, maybe it will be worth the extra money to go to a moderate.

We were at the All Star Movies last Nov/Dec, and there were some groups traveling with kids - but we didn't hear anything in our room at night. In the morning, as we were leaving for the parks, the counselors were bringing juice to the rooms and making sure the kids were up. They were really well behaved. We were also waiting to get on the bus with a large group of kids and again, they were well behaved - no pushing or shoving or ugly language.

We really enjoyed our stay, and I wouldn't worry too much about the large groups! Have fun!!

Actually, when we were there in May, we met some very nice young ladies who were there on their senior trip (but I attribute part of this to the fact they were from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; I've never met an unkind person from there...) Anyway, they said that their sponsors and security from the hotel were VERY strict about hotel policies. They claimed that the guards trolled around all night long in their golf carts, but I know how rumors can work... I also don't remember which All-Star they were at.

Mostly I'm concerned that there not be a lot of hullabaloo going on in the afternoon if one of our people gets sick and has to come back to the room and collapse.

(It's like my mama always sez... "Ya pays yer money and ya takes yer chances!)
