Did you go to the doctor? What did you take for it? I really don't want to have to go to the doctor, but I don't want to feel like this anymore. I only two days off a week -- I don't want to spend them sick.

I didn't go to the doctor. I was super sick for 2 days, at the end of the second day I did go see Twilight but then the next day I was useless. It took me at least a week to feel like myself but I did go to work during that. I was just not very useful. It was awful, I have never felt like that before. I was so achy and just not feeling well at all. I think I just took tylenol. That is what Marc just told me, I don't remember.

No, it's not. I always have the philosophy that if I am going to be sick it should be during the work week and not on the weekends.

Moms always make us feel better when we are sick -- my mom kept asking me last night if there was anything she could bring me. I am always super melodramatic when I am sick so my response was, "Just a coffin."

Jackie- get yourself swabbed quick! It always feels better to know for sure. Didn't you get a flu shot this year? We haven't seen many cases of flu in our offices this season- just maybe 3 or 4.... so I know this year's version worked!! But you should get in because if it's not flu, it may be something treatable and why waste days sick??

We have had quite a bit of flu at our school -- lots of Type A -- I never get a flu shot since I tend to have pretty strong immunity to most nastiness. However, this has just KOed me.

I do feel somewhat better though -- maybe it was something else since my understanding is that flu lays you out for about a week.

I am pretty sure I have the flu -- everything aches from my head to my neck to my lower back, I have a sore throat and a fever, and my head feels like it weighs about 100 pounds. One of my students was diagnosed with Type B flu Monday after sitting in my class "highly contagious" as his doctor said. Blagg! My weekend is not going the way I envisioned.

My good news (which by the way, Paula, congratulations on Allison's gymnastic wins) is that Connor came in third place in Save Our Earth and second place in Categories! His school won first place in the county so now we are off to State in May. This was his first year competing (Chelsea did it for two years previously), so I am super proud of him!

Okay, now I think I need to go crawl back into bed...

I hope you feel better quickly!!! Congrats to Connor! That is really awesome!!

OK I have to share a comment that mad me laugh this morning. OK I did some sort of "100 truths about me" survey hickey on Facebook. One of the questions is: "what can you NOT wait for??" My answer, of course, was GNOMEFEST!!

Well none of my FB gnomies have made any comments about this particular note... but I have been getting funny/confused comments from OTHER people about it.

My favorite is from my HS BFF Mike...who'm mom/family are from Thailand..and is his wife.

It's funny, in Thai the word "Nom" means Bo*bs... so when I read "Gnomefest" it makes me smile
