Nobby's Gnomies... heading to WDW in April 2010

My parents almost named me Jen! How crazy would that have been? I was going to be Jennifer Anne and then my mom asked the names of the other baby girls in the nursery and they were all Jens! So she went with Leslie Anne instead. What is really funny is that when I was in elementary school, my teachers always called Jen or Jennifer. Hehehe.

I just got back from running errands. I am extremely exhausted.

That's what happens when you are born in the mid 70s when that name was #1 forever, and all your girlfriends are basically the same as well!!! It gets REALLY interesting sometimes when we are all together!!! You can call me whatever you want!

Oh trust me I totally understand. Being born in the 80's..having Jessica as the #1 name of the year..
That's why I at least stick to Jess, but most people that I grew up with called me by my last name being in 7th grade to keep it all straight

Well my dear gnomies. Bags are mostly packed (just need to throw toiletries in tomorrow) the van is vacuumed, cleaned out and gased up. Boys have toys, books, activity books and DVD's ready to go (bet you $10 that all they want to do is watch Disney Channel on the satellite TV) Snacks are packed, cooler items ready to go...I think that's about all I can do until morning.

My goal is to be on the road by 8 and I will be busy packing the van and such in the morning so I am going to bid you goodnight and have a wonderful next few days. I will try to check in once or twice but try not to fill up this new thread before I return OK

Ha! I love this talk of names...Jennifer, Jessica are such nice names...my parents almost named me Priscilla! After Priscilla Pressley! I was also almost Leslie as that was my daddy's middle name (then I would have been an LL too! Leslie Lynn!) There was also talk of Lisa Marie, Misty and Audrey! Gotta say, even though I'm not a huge fan of my name, I'm glad I got what I did! We wound up naming our dog Misty instead!

Well, after my paycheque mix up yesterday I don't think I'll be getting to Disney anytime soon! My wage was entered wrong and the computer went haywire....I got paid 38 cents!! So I have to go today and pick up my corrected cheque!

I am a Jennifer Anne---just like that!!!! I ALWAYS have been so glad that my mom put the "e" on the end of Anne---I don't know why, but I always thought it looked more "sophisticated!!!" (Probably because I loved the Anne of Green Gables series when I was younger!!!!) I have always really liked my name--even though it was always so popular growing up---just so thankful my mom didn't name me her other alternative---Marcie!!!

That is SO funny---my childhood was mainly through the 80s, and I LOVED the name Jessica so much that every one of my baby dolls/barbies were called Jessica---actually Jessica Olivia Elizabeth ________ (last name). I had a thing for the multiple names too!!! Having taught high school though before I had my daughter made me realize how many Jessicas there were---ultimately ending up with my Megan Olivia!!!!

How's everyone's saturday going so far? I'm currently ebaying..I'm in my last 5 hours of selling time. Gotta make that trip money for Gnomefest! Everytime Dbf gives me change after he breaks a dollar, he says "Add it to the trip fund!"

Did you all see that they're doing the value season discounted room rate from April through June? It's only $68 a night (for All Stars/Pop)! That's about what we got in december. Hopefully that deal stays through next year too, then we can all get a nice discount for next April!!

Did you all see the new old navy thing they're doing? They have this thing on their website where it says "Find Secret Coupons" and they bring up this page and you have to click around to find coupons to use in the store. I found 2, a 10% off coupon and a $5 off a $25 purchase coupon. However, I was out today and religiously check old navys site so I missed it. But, listen to these coupons that got snagged before I got to them:
1) $50 off a $100 purchase!
2) $75 off a $100 purchase!!!!

Holy crap!!!!!

I will be monitoring Old Navy very carefully for the next week

1st place Beam (with a whopping 9.6!! I think that score could win at States IF she keeps it up there!!)

2nd Place Floor (with an impressive 9.35)

3rd place on vault and bars.



All that AND I get to sleep in my own bed tonite!! Yipee!! What a great day!

Yep, I wasn't too thrilled with my 38 cents! But we got in touch with them and they fed-exed me a cheque for the proper amount so it wasn't really a huge deal. But a nasty surprise when you're excited for your first payday in a few months!

In other news, they found my car today! It isn't in driveable condition (I'm not sure why just yet), but it was found only a few streets over from where I live!!!! My mum and I have to go tomorrow to look at it.....there goes my fixed paycheque to my deductable....I wonder if they left all my Disney stuff in it....

OMG- it's that close?? Wow! I'm not sure what my plans are yet. Think I probably have to work a full day Friday and then will get up there around 8pm or so. I was planning to either eat dinner at home or just grab something at the hotel but I could be persuaded otherwise. My flight is at 8am so have to be at airport at 6 for an international flight.

Morning, Gnomies! Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I am pretty sure I have the flu -- everything aches from my head to my neck to my lower back, I have a sore throat and a fever, and my head feels like it weighs about 100 pounds. One of my students was diagnosed with Type B flu Monday after sitting in my class "highly contagious" as his doctor said. Blagg! My weekend is not going the way I envisioned.

My good news (which by the way, Paula, congratulations on Allison's gymnastic wins) is that Connor came in third place in Save Our Earth and second place in Categories! His school won first place in the county so now we are off to State in May. This was his first year competing (Chelsea did it for two years previously), so I am super proud of him!

Okay, now I think I need to go crawl back into bed...
