No Xmas Country Bears?

Just wondering if anyone can confirm this....Just read it on another post. The OP said that with the cutbacks there won't be a Country Bears Xmas show this year. That just doesn't sound right to me. The only cost to Disney is the manpower to change the costumes on the bears/decorate and change the audio. Anyone have more reliable info?

This has been discussed alot on here in the last week or so. It's true that it's likely not happening this year. However, I don't think it has to do with budget cuts.

I think there is a sentiment out there that guests visiting either for the first time or on a somewhat rare occassion will want to see the original.

I think this likely has to do with the new promotion of the YOAMD and the idea that many guests coming into the parks may be first timers or first timers in a long time.

Well i'm disspointed if that is true. I'm a first timer for going in December and usually go in may. I was looking foward to the holiday bear show. i wish they would stop changing things so that those of us who haven't been to any holiday activities get to see things they heard were so good.

whats next no holiday parades or fireworks in fear someone who chose to go during the holidays will miss out on the regular things?

I wonder what board? Some of the other boards are known for having wild, unfounded rumors quite often. It will be too bad if they cut this. The rest of the time, this is an often overlooked attraction. Adding the Holiday theme makes it worth visiting, IMHO.

It's on most WDW boards right now. Also one of the best (IMO the best WDW podcast "Inside the Magic" is also reporting this). When they are usually not sure, the podcast host will say "this is only rumor" but, in this case they sounded nearly sure of themselves.

Yep, they decorate the theatre for Christmas and dress the bears up and it's a completely different show. Different script, music and all. Even the backdrop is different.

I think it's a very good show.
