I just went online to book our airfare for our upcoming WDW trip in September and imagine my surprise when I get a message that Southwest is no longer flying Buffalo to Orlando effective August 9, 2013...I'm not a happy camper as I have $300 in LUV vouchers that I wanted to use for this trip.

WHAT!!! That has got to be some sort of system error. Call Southwest and ask, that is such a busy route for them. That is nuts!!!

Hmmm...I just searched Airtran dates in September and it looks like there are still flights from Buffalo. But isn't Airtran and Southwest one now? I wonder why Airtran is still showing flights past that Aug 9 date? I am confused. But that would not be good at all if they both pulled out of Buffalo.:(

I'm getting that same message for OKC, TUL & DAL. Surely it's some kind of a glitch this morning.

It's an error. Don't panic ( i know I did!).
There's a thread about it on the transportation board.

Yippee....it was a glitch....was able to get $100 flights each way...disappointed that the only non-stop flight down is late afternoon...but it was $100...can't complain.

Good for you!!! That's a great price. Ours were a little higher but still decent for returning Labor day weekend so I grabbed a return flight for 145 pp. I went the same time last year and watched that flight go up to over 300. And they have reduced the number of flights considerably. There's only the one non-stop for the day. So I wasn't comfortable waiting.

I used Airtran for the way down because even with bag fees and seat selection it was cheaper than Southwest.

had me worried there for a moment as I just booked flights going down on the 26 of September, 100 nonstop. Was hopeing to go with jetblue but their prices were a little higher so went with southwest. Taking stepsons family and they have 2 kids 2 and 1 so the late afternoon works best for us and we dont have to stay overnight in Buffalo for a change,:thumbsup2 and that saved some money as well!
