I come home from working out this morning and go to take a shower.....NO WATER! There is a major water main break and where I live (Chesterfield Township) there is not even a drip coming from the faucets. Can't flush the toilets  . Nothing! Schools are closed and they are saying "several days" till it is fixed.

UGH! I need a shower!

I think we should leave town for a few days...maybe go up north!

Major Bummer! I hope it doesn't take that long to get it fixed!

I can feel your pain and understand your frustration.. However, I am QUITE familiar with the "no water" situation up to our lake house as the well has gone dry on more than one occasion.. I always have jugs of water on stand-by and of course if it is absolutely necessary I can take a quick "bath" in the lake..

If it's going to take "days" to repair - and you have no water on hand - you're definitely in a pickle.. Do you know anyone who has a well? In this area not everyone opts for public water..

No wells that I know of, not around here. I can go to my parents if needed. They are about 40 minutes away. Or just go to their house up north for a few days. We'll just have to wait and see.

Sorry to hear you guys have it so bad!! I'm in Macomb, and although no school for DD6  , that's about as bad as it got. Hope they fix things soon for you guys!

Is your last name Robinette? I know a Robinette from Michigan/Toledo area, thought you might be related :)

You should go South...I hear there's a neat place in Orlando called Disney World that you could visit.... ;)

I LIVE "up north" in Michigan and I say,

"Come on up, we've got plenty of water to spare!!!"

No, my last name is not Robinette.

I do have my water back, just can't drink it:crazy2:

bratus913, I don't know why they had to close schools in Macomb Twp. We know several people who live there and their water was fine. Never shut off and they said they don't have to boil it.

Oh well, glad to have it back on. Thanks everyone.

Good to hear you are up and running again, we never know how much we depend on those utilities till we have an outage. Enjoy!!!
