No value rooms available early December?

I was thinking of taking a long weekend trip for my birthday with my son the first weekend in December (Thursday- Monday). There are zero value rooms showing up as available. I don't want to spend a lot on the room just for the two of us, my plan seems like a bust.

Free dining was available end of nov/early dec so I think that booked up the values pretty quickly!

Pop Warner arrives December 3 and takes a lot of value and moderate rooms.

Total bummer, I found great flight deals, half what we paid in August. I emailed a travel agent but she is away till Monday, hoping she has better luck than I did. Would love to go to MVMCP.

Pop Warner is a huge Value room suck.

1st weekend of December = Pop Warner

1st weekend of Novemver = Wine and Dine Half Marathon.

Both pretty quickly max out the value resorts.

I think of the values as being huge with tons of rooms, I am surprised I can't find ONE room at any of the resorts on our birthday weekends but looks like we are just out of luck. We were born on Pop Warner and Wine and Dine dates, lol. What a bummer!

You can try to call Disney directly...............hey its worth a shot!

people do cancel all the time - the odds of more cancellations in a huge resort is better than a smaller one like POFQ. Just means getting on the phone and online constantly to check repeatedly and consistently, as once the room goes into circulation, someone will grab it fast.

Also check Orbitz and Cheap Tics...sometimes people booked their rooms there, then cancel, freeing up more inventory

Have you tried searching each individual night? This happend to me last October. Sometimes the have lenght of stay restrictions. But with pop Warner it might be they are max out.

If you do find a room for your birthday I would seriously consider requesting a top floor room facing a parking lot. I spent 1 night at POR with Pop Warner. It was so bad that I had actually blocked it from my memory. My daughter recently reminded me about it. The cheerleaders are loud and it goes late at night and starts early in the morning.

Adding on to shh's suggestion - start checking a really seriously at the 47 day mark. Packages would need to be cancelled 45 days in advance to avoid penalties.

Check the DVC Rental Store... They have a few specials for Nov/Dec if your dates aren't too firm.
