No Value Resorts First Two Weeks in December?

Normally the crowds in December are less until kids get out for the Christmas break.

I am finding NO value resorts available?

Any thoughts?

I think it was last week when someone posted about this very thing. I think it has a lot to do with how very late Thanksgiving is this year. A family with kids who get a few days after Thanksgiving off (My own kids do.), will find that they can suddenly hit WDW during a typically lower crowd time without having the kids miss as many days.

That's why we are going with our grandkids. Our DGS (2 nd grade) does have a full week, but our DGD 5th and 9th grade will only miss 3 days. It's too hard for the older kids to miss too much.

That explains it! As my dd is only 10 months old, I have no idea about these school breaks yet. Pop Warner doesn't start until the 6th, so I knew that wasn't the reason the first week was booked. And when I say booked, it is booked! Not just Values. In fact, when my parents got a great CM discount at CSR, and we dropped our ASMovies reservations, neither room ever showed back up in the inventory.

We feel the same. That's why we always look ahead on the calendar as far in advance as possible to see if there will be any opportunities like this where we might be able to sneak in a trip (to anywhere, not just Disney) at a time of year we normally would not be able to do so. :)

Pop Warner eats the Value rooms.

I think Pop Warner could wind up bringing more folks in early this year, too. I know families sometimes like to plan a few days extra on a Pop Warner trip, and this year may set them up with an ideal opportunity to make a long trip of it. So it could be a "twofer", so to speak. :)
