No ThanksGiving I think I know why

Last year they had a weekend dedicated to Thanksgiving...they never said they wouldn't this year. I honestly believe that because they had an entire event last year for it, they will again this year.

Disney still celebrates Thanksgiving with Christmas decorations up. FYI. :goodvibes

Arg, it isn't necessary to come up with reasons as to why they are against Thanksgiving lol. Clearly they aren't as they celebrated it last year, heh. ;)

Well, I don't see any leaf hats around here so obviously VMK doesn't take into consideration too many cultures. I mean, last year there was only one pin for Hannukah and nothing at all for Kwanzaa. The United Nations has declared Toronto the most diverse city in the world, looking at all the cultures here doesn't make that hard to believe. I'm not saying Canada is more superior, but I think that Canada (and other countries as well, of course) chould be celebrated.

There is no Disney park in Canada. Walt Disney didn't celebrate Kwanza...he celebrated Christmas. The Disney parks are what they are and vmk reflects it. ;)

Just because there is no disney park in a certain place doesn't mean we shouldn't celebrate and learn to appreciate other cultures. I can also bet that there are people who celebrate Kwanzaa, Hanukkah and other holidays that work there.

Oh I am sure of it! But Disney is one of the largest growing companies in the world...you can try to tell them to start celebrating other religious holidays...but I doubt much will be done, heh.

Because the creator of WDW celebrated Christmas, he created it for what he believed and for what the majority of people celebrated then. Disney has not changed since and I respect that as it keeps with Walt's original plans. However, I agree that everyone's culture should be respected and I think it is. Just because Disney doesn't thoroughly acknowledge it doesn't mean they don't respect it. ;)

Very well said 'Loves Disney'. I agree 100 %.
And besides the fact that Disney is an American company.

How about a cute Pilgrim outfit? That would be fun!
To go along with the Indian outfit that came out again for Halloween.

Pink, they had that Thanksgiving event. heh...I had to sit in a room and help people with it as I am a community leader. They had to solve the missing letters. Each room had a picture with the hint. Each NPC gave clues. At the end, the missing letters spelled "Turkey" or "Pumpkin Pie" I can't remember which lol.

The event lasted a couple of days and each new day a new NPC gave another clue. You had to submit your answer through the Contact Us.

And the yeti ended up being in Injun Joe's Cave... I got really mad at the yeti, all he kept saying was that he was the real yeti, and I almost gave up and put in Matterhorn, but I kept going! :)
