No Standard or Garden Views?

I booked our trip for October 2023 on the morning of June 8th. It’s the earliest that I’ve ever booked, but I wanted to lick it in. The first 5 nights are at Pop, with the last 6 at Beach Club. The problem is that I was just my able to book a Water View at BC. There were no Standard or Garden Views at all at BC, BWI, or YC. When I look at the weeks prior or after, there seems to be some available. Problem is that I don’t have a lot of wiggle room, so I can’t move the trip either way. Is this unusual or do you think Disney is holding onto these rooms for now?

This all may be a moot point if we decide to rent DVC points, but that’s contingent on BCV or BWV studios being refurbed with Murphy beds.

The Gartner Symposium is typically held in mid-October and they commandeer a large number of rooms in the Crescent Lake resorts. Convention rooms tend to be the "cheaper" views, which is why you're not seeing standard and garden views available at BC, YC and BWI.

I noticed this also. I was online in the morning when they opened the booking window, and only water view for BWI, BC & YC.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn’t aware. We had no problem booking that same week in October 2021, but I guess the convention didn’t happen last year. But as I said, if we decide to rent DVC points, I’ll be canceling my BC room only anyway.
