I thought that when they announced that the Osborne Lights weren't showing this year that they said MGM would have some other Christmas-y type shows. Did I dream that? All the other parks are having some shows that are unique to Christmas-at MK, they have the MVMCP and the Country Bear Jamboree special holiday-themed show; AK has a holiday-themed Donald's Breakfastosaurus and I hear they have holiday singers in Camp Minnie Mickey; and Epcot-well, they have SOOOO much-CP, holiday Santas, etc. I'm not talking about just the usual holiday tree and decorations. But it seems to me that MGM hasn't done anything special for the holidays, and like I said, I thought way back when they announced that there'd be no Osborne Lights, they promised some other holiday show to make up for it. Seems to me they're rather un-Christmasy by comparison to the other parks. ANyone else think so?

I would like to know this too. I haven't heard of one special holiday happening at MGM this year.

Hi,

I don't think you dreamed it (holiday at MGM) b/c I remember reading it somewhere too.

I would love for them to do something-just sprinkle some snow on us and have some carolers-anything.

6days and counting....cant wait!:Pinkbounc

We just received our yearly "Holidays at Walt Disney World" newspaper insert this Sunday. The supplement, which is much smaller than bygone years, only mentions celebrations at the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Downtown Disney.

As usual, Disney-MGM, Animal Kingdom, and the rest of the resort property will be decked out for the holidays, but that's all that was mentioned.

This is from the November 2003 issue of the Mickey Monitor (newsletter for annual passholders):

Celebrate the Season, Studios-style!

Get ready. The Characters are dressing up and stepping out to spread some holiday cheer around Disney-MGM Studios. Come see Minnie, Santa Goofy, Pluto, Lilo, Stitch and more of your favorites at The Sorcerer’s Hat for autographs and pictures. Sarge and his Toy Soldiers from the Disney presentation of the Pixar film, Toy Story, will be hosting a meet and greet, and some of your Fantasmic! Friends will be making appearances as well.

On Hollywood Boulevard and at The Sorcerer’s Hat, you’ll enjoy holiday-themed sketches, the Holiday GleeClub and A Citizens of Hollywood Tree Lighting.

Here's a link to the entire issue for anyone who may be interested:
