DH and I were looking into getting the Deluxe plan, since this is our DDs first trip and we want to do a couple character dinings, shows, etc. While I was busy crunching the numbers, I realized that our 2 year old won't be on the dining plan. I do know she can share our meals and/or eat off our plate, which is fine at some restaurants I'm sure. I'm just worried about having to pay OOP for some of her meals. Listen, the girl can eat. I don't know where she puts it in her little, stick body, but she can eat.
If I shell out the money for the Deluxe plan, then I don't want anything food-related coming OOP besides gratuity. I want to be able to use some of my credits for her. From what I read, the credits are basically "banked" and you use them as you wish, BUT you can't share them? We can't sit down at a TS restaurant and I order her something but use "my" credits? Same scenario for my mother. She is probably coming with us, but isn't interested in getting a DDP. So I couldn't use my credits to "pay" for my Mom's meal? Even if she is staying at a Disney resort, etc. and would be eligible for a DDP if she wanted one?
Are they really sticklers about this? Or will they look the other way and pretend with me that I'm eating two entrees?
