No rooms 10/4???

Does this sound possible - we tried to shift our vacation back a day arriving 9/28, departing 10/5 and were told there were no rooms available anywhere the night of 10/4. We have the Disney Visa 7 for 4 package, but I even said we'd be willing to go to another resort, pay a different rate, whatever and she still said "no." If that's true, then I'd say the parks will be packed certainly. Do you think I should try again in the morning??

It's been that way for a while I tried to cancel my Portofino res and extend my Poly visit and was told there was no room anywhere. So what I ended up doing was keep my Portofino and then going back to WDW after the only thing I could get was off site across from DTD. I was confused too, just thought I would let you know you're not alone, the same thing happend to me.

I'm surprised, that's a Monday. Perhaps there is a big convention taking up rooms?

Could also be a lot of people who re-booked after canceling due to hurricanes.

That would be my first assumption, though October is a more popular month now than it used to be.

I changed our res from arrival of 9/27 to 9/29, but still have to return home on Oct 2. Lost 2 days and now it looks like we could have flown out on Monday anyway...oh well....can it really be fun for 3 nights??? We are only doing MK and EPCOT for the Food and Wine festival. I have been wondering if the parks will be way more crowded due to rescheduling of Jeanne.
No way to know until we arrive.
Good luck getting the 4th and keep trying - availability changes constantly!

Very interesting as that is the day I'm leaving to come home. I really was hoping for a quiet weekend trip-- looks like it may not be after all.

It might be that there are no rooms available at the discounted rate, but there are at the regular rate. I tried to change my reservation to split my stay between 2 resorts instead of staying at the same resort for the entire trip and that was what I found. There were rooms available at regular rate, just not at AP rate.

Are you flying down on the 27? Good for you, if so - you are far more patient than I!! I got worried my flight would be cancelled and then I'd not be able to get out, so decided to make the change myself.

I was also hoping it would be a quiet week/weekend, but I don't think so any more. The HP is not sold out, so that's a good sign!! We're not going to that, but to the Food and Wine Festival instead.
