I have been under the impression that the first 2 weeks of December are less crowded. If the mods are full...what will the parks be like???

So my question is, should I keep calling to try and get FQ? could I try right up until I leave? anyone had any luck doing this?

TIA

Yes I've noticed all the resorts are full too. I also thought that this was a not so busy time because it's value season. The only thing I can think of is that Disney ran a promotion recently and people who were staying off site decided to come over to the not so dark side :teeth:

There are no rooms left at the GF either, I just checked. We are going to be there the 9th through the 16th.

I would check everyday and do it as early as you can, I believe they put all cancellations in during the night.

There are a lot of events at WDW that run from Dec 3-10. Pop Warner football superbowl championship is the main reason. There are NO rooms anywhere for this time period. After the 10th things should be a little better. Also, there is the Mousefest gathering. If you check a couple threads below you will find a lot of discussions about this time period.

We decided this past Sunday to do a long weekend (Dec. 2 - 5)and wanted POFQ, but couldn't get any Disney property. We took the Dolphin. I have tried everyday this week for any moderate and this morning at 5:30 I was able to reserve POFQ for my nights and cancel the Dolphin. It appears online reservations has access to rooms before CRO opens. Try early mornings online. Good Luck!

The secret is surely getting out about this time of the year. Not only is it value season in price and supposedly crowds, all the holiday decorations are up.

What a perfect time to go, good weather, low room costs, lower crowds (sometimes) holiday decorations.

This is the time of year we normally go and it has become more busy every year. I think last year was a sort of fluke because of the hurricane reschedules. But once these folks realized what a nice time it was to come, I think some made the decision to come more often during this time.

I had the same problem. After I called WDW twice and was told both times by different cast members that no rooms were available for 12/9/05-12/11/05 I tried Expedia and got the rooms at the resort that I wanted for a reasonable price.

I booked back in early summer and couldn't get POFQ then only POR. I settled even though my heart was on POFQ, then in august while surfing the disney site, POFQ just came available for my dates, so keep trying you never know what might come up.

I was able to get FQ for the 11-14 now I am going to keep trying for the 7-11 part of our trip. Fingers are crossed!

I'm going then too and have an email code that I've been working on booking my whole stay at AKL standard, but so far only have one night. Keep trying...there are cancellations and rooms released that were blocked off by TAs everyday. As another poster said, you can check on Disney's site early morning to see what's available too.

its pop warner week (a large convention group) plus its value season & christmas time, many have already booked in advance.

my suggestion is to keep calling especially in the morning when they release last nights cancellations.

Pop Warner is Dec 4 to 10, they take many rooms in the value and moderate resorts. Pop Warner is a league for junior football players and cheerleaders who have their "Super Bowl" that week at Wide World of Sports.
