Hi all ... DH decided he does need a vacation, so we are going to the World Feb 6-12 ... very last minute for making arrangements, unfortunately. One of his favs is LeCellier; called Disney Dining today and nothing available all week for lunch or dinner. ?any suggestions? thought I'd try calling later and/or just walking up. thanks for your ideas

You can always try and call back later hoping for a cancellation. You can always try a walk up early although it is a long shot.

Maybe someone on the Dis will give you their reservation.....You never know.
:sad2:

Nine Dragons was very good. Book another restaurant and keep trying for Le Cellier.

Keep your eye on the ADR Cancellation thread! And also keep calling because there may be a cancellation. Of course, book a back up just in case.

Keep Trying, Keep Trying,Keep Trying.......(just keep swimming,swimming, swimming).:upsidedow

No really -I have gotten them last minute by being persistent.

Are you on the dining plan? If not, would you consider a signature restaurant or a more upscale restaurant? For steak - like LeCellier - you could go with Yachtsman Steakhouse or Shula's at the Dolphin. Both are great - but both are more spendy. There are lots of other good restaurants in Epcot or near by. I like the restaurant Marakesh and the Biergarten. In the Boardwalk area I like Beaches and Cream and Captain's Grill

I second the japanese steakhouse - I ate their and it was so yummy and really a fun atmosphere where you watch them cook right in front of you.

Did you try looking for a table for 3 people?

If you really have your heart set on Le Cellier, I would continue to keep calling back. You never know when there might be a cancellation.

Also, try to walk up early. When I was in Disney World in August, we had a lunch reservation for 12:10pm and saw plenty of people walking up right when Le Cellier opened and they got in. It is worth a try.

When we were at LeCellier in November the sign at Guest Relations said it was fully booked, but the restaurant was nearly empty the whole time we were there. We assumed it was no shows. I know the sign may say no availability but I'd walk up and try, they can't know who won't show.

BTW, if it helps, we were there right at 11 when the opened and even when we left there were lots of open tables.

... thanks for all your great ideas! FYI, the reservationist said she checked for tables for 3, but it wouldn't let her or something. I will definitely check back and am planning to make ADR's at some new places. Thanks much!

We were at WDW close to same time frame in 08. We could not get a reservation there over the phone or via Guest Relations. We went on a Thursday night, when they first opened, and were seated within 15 minutes as a walkup party of four.

Never give up. (Disclaimer: we did have a backup plan just in case!)
