No rofr decisions dec 8-20?

I just heard from my broker’s concierge team that Disney’s ROFR services will be shut down from Dec 8-20, meaning a delay in decisions until after the 20th. Does anyone have any insight? Is this normal? I am anxiously awaiting a decision.

Ugh, I am anxiously awaiting too! I just want to hear whether it goes either way. I hope we both hear before a shut down, if it does indeed occur.
 
Did they say why? Interesting that they will close for that long before Christmas. Do we know if they will close again for the Christmas and/or New Years holidays?
 
I feel like he used the word “technology,” but I cannot be sure. I was driving and had my mind on other things, so I didn’t question it further. Hopefully we will get a little help from this board.
 

Just curious - does the Disney ROFR team have a way to be contacted? Granted I am new to the forum, but I don't recall reading anyone saying that they have communicated directly with the ROFR team.
 
My broker told me it was for transfers, not ROFR. But sounds like that might mean delayed closings. I'm waiting for my title company to confirm. I just passed ROFR today and sent the money so not looking forward to a possible 11 day delay...
 
First American told me today- no ROFR or closings from Disney during their “blackout period” until Dec 20th.
 
I closed on 24th November, so does that mean it wont get added to my account until after 20th December?
 
What part does Disney play in the closing process??
This is my first time but I would guess it will hold up creation of a new account and getting the actual points transferred to the new owner. My title company said we can't close till Disney opens back up for it on the 20th
 
oh darn, just had my first dvc purchase go to Disney for ROFR today! I hope this doesn’t mean it’s going to take twice as long! There were 2020 pts, I was hoping to rent out but might end up being too late.
 
I am a brand new member awaiting my points AND a rofr decision. I never realized dealing with Disney would be the least pleasant part of the buying experience!
 
Given how well other DVC technology is working, I wouldn't be surprised if it's already automated. They just get the seven dwarves during this time of year and can't figure out why.
ROFR is Disney, not DVC. Either way, I am not sure how they would "automate" a decision on invoking ROFR. I would assume their criteria on which contracts to purchase is constantly changing. At the end of the day, it would need to be a human being making the call on those things.
