Ok since I can't get a response from DU maybe someone here knows the answer. I made a reservation with them last week and I got an email confirmation of the deposit but no reponse to the email asking for a certain location or even what my room number is. I am going with a friend and also requested twin beds so I hope we don't show up and their is a Queen in the room! Do they mail out any types of brochures or confirmations in the mail? It says after you make the deposit the stateroom will be assigned. Everyone says that they get quick responses from them but I have yet to see it from them since it has been over a week since I first contacted them. I sent another email 2 days ago and still no response.

Also they said when I called in the reservation that I couldn't have the Disney Visa Card On Board Credit since I was booking through them is this true? They also advertise on their site that you can get a OBC if you are a first time cruiser and/or if you have been referred by a friend. Then when I asked about it they said that they couldn't give it to me through their system. Then why advertise it on your site? So far I am beginning to wonder about this travel agency? Anybody else have problems with them?

I've had wonderful experiences with DU for my August 2003 cruise and for my upcoming March WDW vacation. Michelle worked 'wonders' (no pun intended) when I switched reservations, cabins, had questions, etc but I think she must have left because I haven't seen her around since returning to the boards. Trish is my current agent for my WDW trip and has been extremely responsive to my questions and requests.

BUT...I have been trying to book another cruise and maybe I've just been spoiled in the past or they have been extremely busy but it has taken longer to get any kind of response from them. While trying to sort out a few of my concerns/questions I started looking around and found a cheaper rate with another agency and booked it.

Hopefully I'll work with DU again in the future but I had to do what works best for me. Good luck!

If I am not mistaken, you need not worry about the queen/twin issue as the beds split. Ours was set up as a queen when we entered the cabin and, for better sleeping, we had our steward separate the beds into two twins for us.
