Back in late September of 2019 I put in a weather station in my backyard that has several instruments including a rain gauge.

This past October was the first month since I installed the weather station that my backyard has experienced no measurable rain.

Anyone else have a weather station?

No but according to weather.com there is no rain in the 10 day forecast. My minivan has a crust.

I look outside and see my grass and that's a constant reminder of our lack of rain. I don't have a weather station but the last month or so has been terrible here for precipitation.

Don't have a weather station, but it has also been dry for over a month in the DC area. Quite unusual, and drought is partly responsible for wildfires in northeastern places like New Jersey!

We just had rain yesterday and it's been very very VERY cold since Halloween and before all this coldness it was stuffy and humid and hot and I think we are gonna have a very cold winter this year

I just have a dollar store rain gauge, mainly so I know how much fell in my area for plant watering purposes. The amounts listed on weather.com often vary greatly from what I see in my yard. I think they record what fell in a town about 8-10 miles away.

We also had no rain in October. And that followed a September with rainfall that was several inches below average.

No rain here (near Phila) for the whole month.

Only working from memory, but it seems in June/July, very dry. Then rains came. Grass looked great in Aug/Sept. Now back to straw and crunchy.

We don't have a weather station, but I know we very little rain in Oct. On Halloween it briefly poured, and some regular rain that day. It dried up fine for the night thankfully. Other than that, there may have been a stray shower here and there, but nothing significant.

We have had very little rain since July. Really, a few showers and no real wash outs. Lakes Region NH. Maybe we won't have snow either?

You've clearly never visited England ;)
Every time I have been it has been sunny and hot. Record heat with the trains having to stop because the heat has bent the rails. Except for our visit to Stonehenge. There it was sunny but cold and windy, really windy.

Same for the Pacific Northwest. It has always been sunny and beautiful for my visits.

We had at least 3 days of rain here in October. Including 2 days last week. But no rain in the forecast for the next 10 days.

No weather station though.

You're very lucky. Mind you, I thought it was hot HERE one year… then I made the mistake of visiting WDW in the height of summer...

I'm right outside of Denver. We've had no snow yet and I believe our latest frost ever was late last week. Our October gave us highs in the upper 70 and mid 80s.

We might get snow tonight finally.

I was there July 2022 with their massive heat wave. My Stonehenge day was like 90º F, miserably hot. Luckily my niece's wedding was near Dartmoor Park, and it was much more pleasant there compared to London.

No rain whatsoever in northern Delaware for the entire month of October. None in the near forecast either.

Usually we have our lawn sprinkler system turned off about October 20th but we’re delaying this year.

Ever since Helene hit NC at the end of September, it's been very dry for us (in the central area anyway). There were one or two mornings where it had rained a bit overnight, but not much. I think summer was wetter than normal, but it's been so warm and dry now for awhile.
