We've received free pre check the last 3 times down, not this time. I'll have a laptop in a soft tote, regular video camera, an Anker power pack, a Dynex power stick, the wires associated with these and phone. I'm thinking I'll put the camera & wires in a large ziplock along with the power packs, remove the laptop and set them all in a bin, sound right?

Sounds like that should work. I usually have an iPad, various chargers and cables, a power pack and a cell phone. Most of it I've left inside a backpack, usually in a ziploc mostly so they don't scatter all over the place. The cell phone and sometimes the ipad, I'll leave out separately in the bin. Haven't had any issues other than them taking a pretty good look inside the backpack with the x-ray. Haven't brought a laptop for awhile, but I think leaving that out in the bin is a good plan...

The current TSA regulations require non-PreCheck passengers to place all electronic devices larger than a cellphone in a separate bin during security screening.
