No potatoes at Ohana?

We had the noodles about 10 days ago, and we all liked them. Though we were potato fans, I think the noodles are better. And overall, the changes were positive. The shrimp and potstickers were huge hits with us, and I loved the dipping sauce for the turkey.
Noodles, pot stickers more Polynesian/Pacific Rim cusine than potatoes. Noodles and pot stickers are items Ohana use to serve and in our view return Ohana in the direction of the ethnic cuisine it is suppose to represent.

I am sorry about the potatoes but very happy about the pot stickers. My DF's son has missed them so much for the past few years. We will be down this November doing a welcoming dinner for our wedding and hope to enjoy everything. They better not make any changed to the dessert though.

Maybe I just don't understand trans fats. What in cheesy potatoes has trans fats? Cheese... no. Potatoes... no. Onions... no.
Sounds like a cop out excuse to me.

I do not like noodles. I am not a pasta person at all. This is a sad change for me, but I am all over those wings and shrimp! If they take those away I might not ever go back. :scared: (wasn't too thrilled with any of the grilled/skewer meats - all of them seemed dry to me - the 'white meats' were the worst!)

ETA -- going by the recipe on allearsnet;

Here's the ingredient list -- checked each item on recipezaar.com where they have a nutrition guide for each food (didn't check salt and pepper - that's a given... LOL)

Russet potatoes (washed and sliced) -- 0 tf
heavy cream -- 0 tf
cheddar cheese -- 0 tf
parmesan cheese --0 tf
thinly sliced sweet onions -- 0 tf
kosher salt -- 0 tf
black pepper -- 0 tf

Their argument does not hold water that trans fats are the reason they were removed. I hate being lied to.

On 8-8-08 I can report there were no potatoes, but the noodles were good!

As was the banana bread pudding...MMmmmmmm! :teeth:

This is non-Disney related but Hiwaygal... I LOVE your Bostons in their flying monkeys costumes!!! Im sure you are on Woof as well with those cuties!:wave2:
