We are going July 7-12 arriving the 6th so may pick a dinner outside the parks. Can we say plan around the posted June hours to be similar in July? Do the magic mornings stay the same? Since we're offsite I assume will avoid mornings at those parks. How hard is it to move ADRs when they do release the schedule? Thanks.:)

Disneyland should be open 8am to midnight with DCA closing at 10pm. Magic Mornings at Disneyland are typically Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. We've changed ADRs before, no problem.

This is one of my sore spots with DLR. Go to WDW, and the park hours are out almost 7 months early, just in time to book restaurants 180 days out. But in Anaheim, you book places to eat 60 days out, two weeks before you know the park hours. That's just weird, and it seems downright lazy. C'mon TDA, gives us at least 2 months advance hours!

I don't think it's a lazy thing, I think it's a different culture/demographic thing. WDW is a vacation destination with millions of tourists from all over the world. They pretty much have the exact same offerings every year (even down to free dining at hotels). Disneyland is largely a locals park. Yes people travel there from around the world, but most visitors live in CA and surrounding states. They have a ton of special offerings and things are not clearly set in stone. It's like the May calendar where they have all of these early closing nights. Even at 6 weeks out they had hours that were changed for late April early May. I think things can be less predictable at Disneyland. That being said, looking at historical calendars can give you an idea. So long as there are no special events the park does have fairly predictable hours.

The DIS has historical DL hours posted online at http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland/park-hours.cfm. So you could look at that same July week from 2014 and it'll give you a pretty good guess as to what the hours will be this July.
Thanks, I was also trying to guess entertainment schedule times as we love parades and fireworks so don't want to have a dinner ADR when the new paint parade is going on, etc. I am just going to plan around the schedule for June and hope times don't change too much.:thumbsup2

The summer entertainment schedule is usually very consistent day to day so I wouldn't worry about planning ADRs based off June's entertainment schedule.

I am worried about the same thing for our September trip. With Labor Day being so late, I feel like it's hard to plan park days due to MHP. Maybe just plan what you want to do and if it doesn't work out when the schedule comes out, you can try to change it?

So even with the 60th anniversary nobody thinks the park hours will be any different than June? I'll be there right on the anniversary so I was wondering if they might have some kind of extended hours due to increased crowds or special events on that weekend or day at least.

I guess I don't know how good I have it. I have been to DLR more times than I can remember. I have always been able to get a reservation for lunch/dinner if I want one, even same day in some instances. If the park is full, go outside the park to DTD and have a meal or one of the nicer counter service places.

I guess I don't worry about parades and fireworks because they are after dark and I want to eat well before dark, during the summer.

I guess what I am saying I am glad its not like WDW and having to plan everything 6 months in advance. We tend to make one or two reservations for a week and then enjoy our visit... and go with the flow.
