Tonight I called to make a change to my 1/20/07 ADR for dinner and found that somehow my ressies for the 18th-22 mysteriously moved a week. I have lost ALL of my reservations and the worst is I had Cinderella's breakfast for my mothers 60th birthday.

I am so upset right now - I cannot find my confirmation for Cinderella's to prove I did not screw up and there is absolutely no pixie dust at Disney Dining. I am so upset at the attitude I got we would cancel our trip if airline tickes were not purchased and am seriously thinking of cancelling my 10 day trip in June.

I was so upset when I called my mother to break the news she thought something bad had happened...I am sure I will get over it but there is no magic being felt here. She loves Cinderella and has always wanted to eat at the castle and I feel so bad.

I have my original notes from my call in August right here and the updated notes from my November modification with the correct dates - not hard when we go every year at the same time every year.

I also lost Le Cellier for sure...basically my planning is blown to bits and for the first time I am no looking forward to my trip.

Going to start working on Plan Z.....

Jodie, I'm so sorry to hear of the change of date in your ressies that aren't right. That sounds so frustrating! I know it's no consolation, but most of the restaurants take walk-in's. Granted you'll probably have to wait a bit longer, but hopefully you can still find a way to take your mother to Cinderella's anyway. I know DH and I have gotten into Le Cellier with a 20-30 minute wait before, too.

I'm sharing some pixie dust with you until you can find yours again. <sprinkle, sprinkle>

We always save our confirmation numbers.

Well, that is a bummer! Have you tried CRT for lunch or dinner? It's probably a long shot, but here's hoping!

This is a shame but also a reminder that notes get tossed out very easily.

When I get done with MS or Dining I take my notes and transfer them to my Excell sheet. Then also put them in my date book of my Cell.
They made a change to one of my ADRs but I also kept my original times and numbers just to be on the safe side if it all disappeared.

Keep looking you may still find them written with some other paperwork.

I have my confirmation numbers but they (Disney Dining) now say it is for the next week. Unless I can find my Cinderella confirmation they just think I am some stupid whining idiot who made their reservations the wrong week and am trying to move them.

I offered to fax all my notes (with the confirmation numbers which do match theirs) but they said it makes no difference.

Thank you,

Honestly all the other reservations I am not worried about - it is the fact that my mother loves Cinderella and when I told her I got it she was so happy and now I am so upset it is not funny especially with how I was treated by Disney Dining.

On Noverber 2 we added Alfredos and I also checked all of the others and so I know I had them correct - somehow they were shifted.

Anyways to all who sympathize thank you

I tried....

Slakk I am very sorry this happened to you. Confirmations or not it would have been nice if they acted like they cared or tried to help.

Now this is where I'd normally go into a DDP rant but in this case I will not. I know how devastating this can be.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that something is available and you can salvage the dining part of your trip. :wizard:

Ressies are normally tied to a phone number. Did you try your cell as well as your home phone?

Well I remade my reservations and could not get Le Cellier which is our absolute favorite. We substituted San Angel Inn and Boma's for LeCellier and Alfredos.

I am trying hard to pretend this is a chance to try new things. I cancelled all of the ADRs they had scheduled for the week after our visit EXCEPT my Cinderella that shows as 1/28.

If ANYONE here is going to be at WDW the week following our trip and is looking for a Cindy breakfast please PM me and I will coordinate releasing it so you can take it.

I had heard of ressies magically moving dates but always thought it was some strange disney myth until it happened to me.

Thanks again for the support

They would have a record of your room reservation if you're staying on Disney property. Ask them why they think you'd make reservations for meals in a week different than the timeframe your room reservation is for.

I did and Niles the extremely no-so-very-Disney supervisor I spoke with said his only answer was I gave the wrong dates. I offered to fax him my planning info that shows both the original and the modified information WITH confirmation codes and dates (the ones I had) but he said that would be of no help.

It was apparant Niles thinks I am too stupid to know the dates of my trip and when I mentioned the original date of my reservations was exactly 6months out from what would be 180 days from the 1/21 Cindy's reservation I would have he had no answer...

I was also told they do not store history of changes and since two reservation specialist worked on my dining (the original 6 months out and then on 11/2) there was nothing they would do for me.

So for all of you who think having written down your confirmation info makes you safe - think again. I tore my house apart looking for the Cindy confirmation (since I had to pay in full I did get something from them in writing with the information) but we moved right at that time and it is packed somewhere.

I am still so upset...I am going to try begging WL conceirge to see if there is some hidden Cindy's waitlist I can be put on - I was supposed to be getting a call from someone at Disney Dining last night to hear if they would make an exception but never received a call.

We had planned to buy more points but it is hard to justify when I really am feeling like I would rather spend my money elsewhere. Thanks again to everyone for making me feel better....

I just got off the phone from a manager at Disney Dining who got my reservation for Cinderella's!!!! I guess Dixney Magic is still alive! And to top it off - she is getting an autographed card from Cinderella to be in our room when we get there!!!

Thank you for your added pixie dust - IT WORKED!

That's great..I don't know if they still have this, or if someone else posted it yet, but I think there was a thread on the restaurant boards of people letting other disers know of any restaurant reservations that they were going to cancel so that others could get those times. -

I seriously doubt it was meant to be self righteous. Many people learn from other's mistakes. The lesson to learn is always keep documentation. We all hope this never happens, but it does and your only recourse is to prove you had them.

Hopefully the OP will be able to get some walk-ups.

That is great, you might want to go back and make a revision to your title, that Disney Magic is still there. Enjoy your trip. :thumbsup2
