No Pink Floyd reunion after all..... BUT, ya may like this.

Damn, I would have paid big money to see a reunited Pink Floyd tour.

DH and I actually have priced the tickets for the Radio City show...

He is a HUGE fan...it would be a big expense for us, as we would also have to fly to Ny and also get a hotel in the city...but I know it would be well worth it to see the joy on his face for this concert

We'd pay big-time for a Gilmour-Waters concert, but for either, alone: no thanks.

You would be missing out if you skipped a Roger Waters concert, It is like a mini PF show. I have seen him 3x solo. He plays lots of Floyd. And he has quite a "show" in his own rite. Is it like being at a Floyd show? No, but not too far off.

I saw Floyd perform The Wall, and during the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour.

EDIT: I also saw Gilmour once. He was OK, but even then, like 20 years ago, he distanced himself from PF, it seemed.

So, the question remains? Why not tour without Gilmour? I know that the other guys would like to tour.

Seems like turn-about is fair play: I know that RW couldn't prevent PF from touring (without him), so it stands to reason that DG cannot prevent PF from touring (without him). I suspect, though, that neither RW nor DG really want to tour with PF. The way the contracts are written, they end up having to give over too much of the take to their partners, instead of keeping the vast majority for themselves. Besides, neither RW nor DG need the money, so if they're going to spend the time and energy to tour, they'll want to do it for the glory, and so why share that if you don't have to.

Well I heard RW after the Live 8 show say that he really wants to tour as PF. And on the website I provided above, there is a quote from RW that says promoters have guaranteed $150 million for PF. Plus, RW goes on to say that he would like to do it just to see how they would stack up against The Rolling Stones, The Who, McCartney, U2......

And Nick Mason has a new book out. He states that he really wants to tour as PF but Dave is holding everything back.

Yeah, I heard RW say that. He really seems to have radically changed his perspective. You could even see on-stage at L8 that he was trying to do the buddy-buddy thing with DG, and DG was just not having any of it.

Now that the Eagles have went for the cash grab, that leaves a Pink Floyd reunion tour as the true sign of hell freezing over.

Guess people who leave in fear of hell have to keep it up.

It's really sad that RW and DG can't the issues away for a year and get one more in before it's too late. Some of their solo stuff if good and the tours have been OK, but whatever it was that made the PF stuff better is missing from everything solo.
