no pay to play

Yesterday I was just in my room minding my own business and moving around furniture when this warning popped up.
After that I was missing a fireplace .. did vmk take it?

I received the same warning today while I was organizing rooms. Anyone else getting this?? What should I do?
Sure hope its not three strikes your out, when I don't even know what I'm doing wrong

I never got that but I hope I don't. Did your room title or signature have the word pay in it? I'm pretty sure it didn't but just in case thats the reason they gave you the message?

Its sad that even though its written in the newsletter and was sent throughout VMK in staff reminder form, people continue to make Cute or Boot rooms. There are currently about 20-25 of them.

First: For the OP, don't worry, it was a game-wide reminder, not a warning! It's new, important info., so they are just trying to make sure people know. Though I can't explain what happened to your fireplace. I hope it turns up.

Regarding Cute/Boot rooms: They are not necessarily pay to play.

I'm relieved that it wasn't just me receiving the message ... as for my fireplace .. oh well, at least it wasn't something rare.

It just does not seem right that the host game last night was a "Pay to Play" room. Why do the hosts get to charge us to pick a teleporter, if it is against vmk values?

Also, I guess we will never see those epcot turnstyles!

I think it was only 5 credits for the Host game which isn't much for a pin you might win. This is what I read under the Community Reminder on VMK.

1. Everyone LOVES a prize – the promise of rare items and other VMK goodies are a wonderful thought, but remember when you enter a trade, a "Cute or Boot" or Pay to Play room you might be scammed.

2. Pay to Play rooms – where you pay to play a game and it's up to the room owner to award the prize – are extremely questionable. Starting immediately we will no longer allow these rooms in VMK.

The message, like the others said, went to everyone in VMK.

I was with HOST_Lily yesterday at that point but the message was different most was in capital latters. Before that I was in Sci-Fi Dine-In and received a message telling the room to not share personal info. Two people (Guests) were talking about what grade they were in and that they went to Middle School.

It is my understanding that this rule applies to people who create game rooms, then require people to give them, the room owner, items as admission to play.

It does not mean you can't have a game in which you award prizes and it does not apply to turnstyles, should we ever get them.

Everyone gets the warning in VMK, its called a Global Warning.
You will recieve it throughout the next few days (Upto friday I presume) Its to get the message clear to the Pay 2 Play owners.. before they get there rooms changed by VMK staff..

I got one once, in a room when someone mentioned MySpace (it was not me), and the whole room got warned.
