Hi all,
To excited to sleep at the moment, so thought it would be a good idea to attempt a pre trippie with a view to doing a live, not so live, trip report for our holiday to our favourite place on earth!!
As you can probably guess, we are from Cornwall and are Tracey(Mum), Gary(Dad), who is composing at the mo, Amy(16 year old Daughter) and Ellie(15 year old Daughter). Also a mention for our Irish Jack Russel Bert, who unfortunately will not be visiting his favorite pals Pluto and Goofy!!
Our updates will be written by Tracey and myself and as this is our first attempt we will go with the flow as for posting.
Our plan for the holiday is as follows:
Drive from Cornwall to Camberley on Saturday 4th August and stay at the Travelodge for the night.
Sunday 5th fly from Heathrow to Miami with Virgin and stay at the Embassy Suites Miami Airport for the night.
Monday 6th pick up car and drive to Orlando and check in at Comfort Suites Maingate for 2 nights. Shopping for these days!!
Wednesday 8th check in at Royal Pacific Resort club level for 2 nights and visit Studios and Islands of Adventure.
Friday 10th check in at Disney Old Key West Resort on the DDP(our first time on the plan) for 14nights.
Friday 24th Disney Dream 5 night cruise.
Wednesday 29th check in Hampton Inn and Suites Miami Downtown for 2 nights.Planning on visiting South Beach and doing Thriller powerboat ride.
Friday 31st fly home.
We have been planning this trip since Feb 2010, which was the last time we visited Florida. It seems that everytime we go we always say, well me anyway, that this will be our last 'big one' and of course it never is. Tracey is celebrating gaining a new job, Amy has now finished school and is off to College, well hopefully ( exam results on 23rd), Ellie has also taken exams and I want to get a tan on my bald head!! We will also be celebrating our anniversary on the 21st.
Anyway, will hopefully keep you updated on how it's going, all dependant of course on time and speed of internet.
