No Parks trip.... what do you think?

I love all the different ideas and thoughts here...... water parks are another fun option, since it's just a few days overall....

well.... funny story.... I revealed my 'surprise' trip to my family..... they all agreed that a non (major) parks trip is fine with them! Just one person hasn't been to WDW in a couple of years, and he doesn't seem to care much,so I think we may stick to the water parks/disneyquest/FOOD plan! I was a little surprised at their choice.... I think it may have something to do with all the park closures etc right now, just too much closed, and not enough big stuff to worry over missing... I am happy, b/c I would prefer to wait till more big stuff opens up to pay entrance again..... that said, As others have mentioned, they may change their tunes when we get there lol

We've thought seriously about doing a non-park trip, but have never been able to bring ourselves to actually do it. If we're going to go all the way to WDW, we have to do the parks, even though there is plenty to keep us busy outside of them there, too. Even with no little kids, dh and I enjoy the atmosphere of the parks too much to skip them entirely.

We just bought water park annual passes for $110 each. We'll be there in May for five nights at our offsite timeshare (instead of our DVC) before we head to our Beach trip. Our annual passes will have expired by then, so we don't have any theme park admission and don't want to get another annual pass until next January. So we're going to the water parks for five days before our beach trip. Unless our son happens to have some of his guest passes left (he works at WDW).
