Hi everyone! we just closed on 300 point BWV resale. The contract came with 271 2008 and 150 banked points. we just got home from and already planned and payed for trip BWV in may But I want to use the banked points before they expire. My question is if we take a non park (:scared1: ) trip in November which resort would you pick to keep my two little guys happy. I kind of narrowed it down to SS or BCV. do you think it's warm enogh to swim in early nov.(6th-10th). Can we really be that close and stay out of the parks untill next may :confused3 :rotfl2: :confused3. Any thoughts :worship: ?
thanks...and I'm sure MANY more questions will follow!!!!!

I'd pick BCV, even if it's a bit chilly it will be warm enough in the pool. We were at the VWL over Christmas 2006 and swam most days, it was only when it was a bit windy one day that we noticed, and that was only when we got out of the pool. We're staying at BCV for 5 nights this summer and don't plan to go near the parks at all

Both resorts are good choices :thumbsup2 Love SAB! but SSR is not next to a park and that might help :confused3

Here's my suggestions: DVC members get a $100 discount on AP's, that'll take care of the fall trip and the May trip ::yes:: (and any other trips that may pop up in the next year :rolleyes1 )

Getting into BCV now is probably going to be difficult. It's always full at the 7 month mark so there will several waitlists ahead of you now trying to book at the 5 month mark.

SSR is a great place to stay for those non-park vacations. Overall its a nicer resort than BCV but BCV has that convenience to parks. The pool at SSR is quite nice and the resort is so much quieter than BCV. I love BCV but wouldn't want to stay there, so close to the parks, and then not go into the parks.

I just did a non-park trip! It was jut my husband and I, we left the kids at home!!! So it we did grown up things, I'm sure it will be a little trickier to keeps the kids out of the parks. We stayed at SS which IS easier because you are not right next to park. Hanging out by the pool was great, walking round DTD, we rented boats fron DTD, you could rent bikes, go see a movie, visit community hall- they schedule activities.
BCV is my home resort and I love it best, but for a non-park trip, SS might be the winner.

Good luck and have a great time!

and the winner is.............. SSR. :cool1: . I was thinking the same thing about staying at BCV or BWV..too hard to be so close to the parks and not go in...of course november is still a long way off..maybe I can convince dh to let us get those ap's to cover both trips!:goodvibes . I CAN'T wait to hear WELCOME HOME now that we are offical dvcer's!!!:dance3:

Thanks for helping me make up my mind!!:worship:
