My Boyfriend and I are going to WDW December 15, 2008. We are not purchasing park hoppers because we both haven't been to WDW in several years. I have not been since I was 12 years old and I forgot how the rules worked. If we do not purchase a parkhopper can we go to a park in the morning then come back to our hotel (it is a disney hotel) and then go back to the park with out a parkhopper to eat dinner if it is the same park we went to in the morning?

Yes you can. Without park hoppers, you can leave the park you started in and then later in the day head back to the same park. By the way, if you are at WDW and decide that you want to park hop, then you can upgrade your tickets to park hoppers at Guest Services.

If you are staying for several days the park hopper option gives you a lot of flexibility. We always get this option just for this reason. It is so nice to be able to park hop at will. If a park seems too crowded or just not as much fun that day we like to be able to go somewhere else at will.

Quite often we would go to Animal Kingdom or the Studios and after we had seen all we wanted to see we would hop over to Epcot or the Kingdom. I really love fireworks so an extra dose of Wishes or Illuminations really made my day.

Just my 2 cents worth... To each their own. You will have fun however you choose.

I'm not sure what the park schedules are like in December, but I think Animal Kingdom and the Studios usually close earlier than Epcot and MK. So it's nice to have the park hoppers to start at one park and when it closed to hop to another one.
