If I don't have a park hopper pass and I have dinner reservations at MK but go to AK in the morning, can I get into MK in the evening?

Not to be too sarcastic but that is why they called them "park hoppers". We use our hoppers mostly to enter a second park for dinner and the evening. Typically we go to a park opening then leave by 3pm, return to hotel for swim and/or shower then head out to a different park for the evening. If you don't have a hopper you will need to pick AK or MK that day.

There many good restaurants in the MK area at the hotels that you might consider so you don't need to do park entrance.

1) Nope.
2) That would be cheating.
3) Plus, the computer would not let you do that.
4) Either change the ADR or change the touring plans.
5) Or, pay the Park Hopping additional fee.

Thanks! I have all my reservations all set and we never used the park hopper last year. Problem is seven dwarfs screwed everything up. We're there 5/24-5/30 will all dining and FP+ in place. I can't get the character dining changed. No times are available. I guess seven dwarfs will wait until next year:mad:

One more question.....can you buy a park hopper for one day only or does it have to be all days. One day would work!!

It's an all or nothing kind of thing. If you think you'll need it just for one day, make the upgrade early in your trip. Then you'll at least be able to take advantage of it the rest of the trip.

You can, but it costs the same amount. Why not just add PH, it's less expensive than another trip because you missed 7DMT! Lol

If you add the Park Hopper option, it's for every day. You can't just have it for one day - it's a step-up fee basically.

Technically, you CAN use your ticket to get into MK, but it will cost you another day and it's not worth it.

Keep checking back on dining. People drop reservations all the time and something may appear that could work for you. Good Luck!

This is wrong. You CANNOT set foot in two different parks on the same day without a hopper. Once you've used it at AK in the morning, it's not going to let you into MK in the evening. If you could do that, everyone would be! It's only an extra $10 to add one more day to your tickets, but it's about $60 for park hopper. Do you really think Disney would open that flood gate???

No, you can't.

This is from Chesire Figment, taken from this thread:
Or, as I have occasionally told Guests who were arguing with me about using a different day on the ticket: (note day of week stated can vary)

The turnstile computer thinks today is Friday. The turnstile computer at the other park also thinks today is Friday. The two turnstile computers talk to each other. If you can convince this turnstile computer that today is not the same Friday as the other computer thinks, it will let you in.

Your choices would be:

Park hoppers
Purchasing a separate 1-day ticket at full price.

Park hoppers being the cheaper option, obviously.

It's the same price for one day or length of stay.

The cost of the Hopper option now varies... as of the last price increase (Feb, 2014.)
If you upgrade some tickets by adding "days" you might also have to increase what
you pay for the Hopper option on those tickets.

Adding the Hopper to a one-day ticket costs $40.

Adding the Hopper to a two-day or three-day ticket costs $50.

Adding the Hopper to a four-day thru ten-day ticket costs $60.

All prices, plus tax.

A more correct statement would be, "The cost varies depending on the total number of days on your ticket and you must add Park Hopping to the entire duration of your ticket."

I just added the "more correct" ;) info to my previous post.

I had to do the math to figure the rates.
