No option for online check-in?

My fiance and I are going to Disney Sept 8-14 for our honeymoon. I wanted to do the online check-in now that we are 57 days out, but I don't see it as an option. Is there something I need to do? I have all of my reservations linked in MDE, but when I try to do online check-in, it still says I don't have any reservations I can do online check-in with. Any advice?

I don't know for sure, but maybe it has something to do with the fact that it's a honeymoon reservation? Maybe they do something special for you at regular check-in and that's why you can't do online check-in? :confused3

Have you paid off your package in full? We've gotten an email inviting us to do online check in, but after we'd paid in full.

(Although I think the suggestion that it has to do with your honeymoon is sweet, I'm not exactly sure that's going to turn out to be the case -- but maybe someone else can chime in.)

We actually paid in full when we booked - we only booked a few weeks ago, so we went ahead and paid in full at the same time.

Any other ideas as to why I don't have the online check-in option? Do you think I should call Disney and ask?

Back in March when I tried to check in for April I couldn't check in either if I tried on my iPad or iPhone( was the old site). When I went to a pc then it showed up(the new site). Also in May I had a quick overnight trip and couldn't find where to check in. It was in an odd spot but I can't remember where. Maybe some kind soul will be checking in soon and help:).

IMO it's the site acting up and sooner or later it should work for you. Have a magical honeymoon!

Sigh. The official response from Disney was also that the site was acting up. I tried the mydisneyreservation.com site as well, and it doesn't work correctly either. I am trying to enter a special room request, but the pop-up box on the reservation site doesn't allow me to enter text. I am trying to check-in on my laptop, and I've tried in Firefox, IE and Google Chrome.

I'm frustrated. :-/

If you have a special room request, call and have it added to your reservation. All you get for "requests" when doing online check in is the window with boxes to check off. They tend to be fairly generic things such as "close transportation" or "ground floor". Anything other than that you should add to your reservation through a phone call.

I agree! ::yes::

I've heard that if you select requests (you can make "up to 2") during online check-in, it negates requests you made via phone. Best advice is to call, make the request(s) and leave it at that! ;)

The only real advantage to online check-in appears to be that you can list your arrival time (helpful if you're getting there either very early or very late); and also that you can put a credit card on file for room charges and not have to have the card swiped at check-in (it's always worked for me - although others have claimed they've still needed to have their card swiped :confused3)

:goodvibes

I was looking for the online check in today and couldn't find it either until I was looking under our resort amenities:confused3 and there it was!!!!I do not remember it being there the last few years that I did online check-in???It used to come up when you would log in.:scratchin
