No, not another heat wave for the Northeast!

Another heat wave starts tomorrow lasting a week. I am so over summer and the heat. It is the humidity that is taking it's toll on everyone. I am so ready for Fall

At least the NE has had some breaks (news anchors wearing sweaters in the morning in Central Park). The south hasn't had any breaks for over 2 months. One reporter stated that it's actually the hottest summer on record.

I feel for ya'll. Its been over a hundred every day for a few weeks here and it was in the upper 90's before that. I have heard so many heat warnings that I quit listening. Actually before this summer I don't remember every hearing all the "extreme heat warnings", its usually "heat advisories".

Thank goodness we haven't had any storms to knock power out--just don't think we could take it this year!!! My ac rarely cuts off, I am dreading the next power bill; the last one was bad enough.

Last weekend we took dd down to the MS coast and had considered going out on the beach. Waaayyy to hot. There were a few people out there but not many and we noticed lots of ambulances waiting around. We went shopping and to the Hard Rock instead.

I am sooooo ready for some cold weather.

You are not kidding!! I am LOVING this hot summer weather!! Pool is staying warm where usually by this time its cooling down enough where the kids don't want to go in anymore. Last night we were at an outdoor movie and had to put sweatshirts on- I was NOT amused! I wish for the rest of the month to be a heat wave--love it!!

The only thing that got me through the winter was knowing summer was coming. I do not complain about summer! I save all my complaints for winter.

I'm NOT loving this weather! And neither is my house. Can't, just can't do any housework. Can't cook, eating quick crap and cereal. I'm ready for fall! You can at least put on a sweater if you are cold, but there is just no way to cool off my house. We only have air conditioning in the bedrooms, so the rest of the house is going to pot! I'm done with summer!

Well June was strange with all the rain. But my AC was running almost none stop during July. Not sure I'd say mild, maybe just normal 100's in July.
Worst summer I remember in Northern California was about 1988 or 89. Got to 115 degrees, we had family here who want to see the sights. AC in my DARK BLUE Suburban just could not keep the car cool.

Just wish we could get more rain here in MA. So sick of brown crunchy lawn. I'm thinking the foliage might not be so great this year. We have many trees showing damage from the dryness (how ironic, thinking back to the flooding we had this spring!). I love the fall and am always ready this time of year for cooler temperatures (plus I'm going to Paris in October!!).

That is how I feel. After living in FL for a couple of years the heat and humidity in Ohio doesn't bother me any more. Plus I imagine when I am out shoveling my driveway in February I'll be wishing I was complaining about the heat.

Yea now I can show my husband that I am not crazy, lol. People would look at me like I had 2 heads because I would hear them complain about the heat, and I would reply "IT FEELS GREAT!!"

Say it's not so!!!!! I was really hoping that Sept. would cool off so I could finish those quilts I was working on.. Handling all of that heavy material, batting, (flannel backing one), etc. - is NOT something you want to be doing when it's so hot..

I really wanted to finish the jeans quilt I'm making for my DGD for her birthday in late Sept. Maybe the heat wave will break by then?

Well I am headed to the East in 2.5 weeks and quite frankly I would love to see some intense heat.

This summer in SoCal has been record breaking for the coldest summer on record .... all the way back to 1933 with an average temp of no higher than 65 degrees. By evening it is around 60 degrees. We still have all our SUN but just not the usual warmth we see in SoCal.

Oh and as far as the humidity you all have to deal with in the East ... that I would rather not have ... just the warmth.
