I just found something that might be of interest. While checking balance of gift card at disneygiftcard.com. There's a new function to transfer gc balances and hold account #s. It works because I did it. It's like Disney Vacation Account without the 2% and useless staff.

Just got this email.
Howdy, partner!
You've Successfully Transferred a Disney Gift Card within Your Account

Remember, if you’d like to make additional balance transfers from one Disney Gift Card to another, you can transfer any amount up to $1,000, but don't forget that each card can only hold a maximum value of $1,000.

Have a magical day!

Awesome news. Then did you check the balance of the one you transferred to, and the higher balance was there?

It showed something very similar to this picture. It looked obvious that I didn't mess up. This is a pix of about an hour later. Real easy.

Wow! I liked the DVA for paying for my package, but this looks super convenient for the GC I need to pay off what we charge to the room. Putting it all one one card scares me for some reason, but even I didnt I would be carrying them all in one ziplock, so I don't make sense.

Oh Man! This is great! Now I can consolidate all the $50 cards I've been accumulating for my 2016 DVC dues! I used the DVA last year (well, this year) and I "lied" and told them it was a gift card:oops:. I don't like breaking the rules, even if it works and it is purely for convenience and not to gain any fiscal benefit, so transferring to ONE card would be great!

Wish I knew about this before my April visit! Sorry to all the CMs who I had to read off 10 gift card numbers to!

I just consolidated 12 $50 cards onto one and called it "October 2015". Then I consolidated 1 $50 and 3 $100 onto a second card, called "October 2016". My next project will be to start card #3...."DVC Dues". Thank you, Disney for FINALLY allowing this to work:worship:.

I would be crying literal tears of joy...

if this was last year when I was dealing with about 4K worth of $50 cards. I'm all done for now though... so of course they fixed it. :)

Is there a minimum balance to transfer? I have some cards with < $15 on them, so I can't put them in my DVA.
