With Sadness, I found out yesterday that the Ziti Sisters will no longer be performing at Walt Disney World. They were awesome and very entertaining. We planned every trip to World Showcase around their schedule. We even got into the act on our last visit. They will be missed! Wonder what they will be replaced with...probably won't compare.

Eh - I don't know. I like the previous act better! (Can't remember the name, but it was a couple guys with a cart...)

I'm sure whatever they bring in will be entertaining.

I'm with you. They had a juggler years ago who also more entertaining.

To me, the Zitis were just another element that continued to insure Italy would remain the weakest and least engaging of any of the World Showcase pavilions (albeit, that's a designation Germany has been trying to steal from it for some time now).

The issue may be Germany at least garners some traffic by virtue of the ambience outside the restaurant and the sometimes-working model trains. Italy is literally a "walk by" for a large percentage of the crowd making its way around the WS.

That's so funny you say that. It's one of our favorite areas! Grab a cannoli or a gelato from the cart, watch a performance in the plaza, do some shopping at Il Bel and La Bottega -- which we think have some of the nicest items in the entire WS. It also seems to provide a natural "resting place" for us as approximately half way through the WS (just shy of the American Adventure) so it's a nice place to sit by the lake and take a minute. No, we're not queuing up for a ride like in Norway, but we spend plenty of time there.

I also think the ambience of the Italy Pavilion is great, but was not a fan of the Ziti Sisters. My daughter and wife participated in the show last year and I found the show to play too much off of stereotypes. But I guess that is humor.... mind you I didn't find it offensive or anything, just not all that creative, and at times just annoying. Hopefully something good replaces it, but even if not, it's still a nice time at that Pavillion.
