Someone put a lid on it -- the news story, not the volcano.Hmmm, MSNBC took down the BREAKING NEWS about the second volcano erupting.Did they jump the gun?
Don't worry Europe has just re -opened his air space.

I just read on BBC that Europe is opening air space on a limited basis from some areas while others are still closed. The UK, the Netherlands and Germany are countries still shut down so far while southern Europe and much of France and Scandinavia is open or soon will be.
UPDATE: It's apparently a false alarm. An Icelandic Broadcasting Service camera was pointed at Eyjafjallajökull but it was labeled Hekla. MSNBC picked up the breaking news item.
Is the second volcano actually erupting? Wow, it seems like the world is a bit restless lately with so many earthquakes and now the eruptions.

O and yes in our language Europe is a he just as the US.
Should I wear a helmet if I mention this when we are "over there"?![]()

I wasn't poking fun in a mean way. Europe is so big and multi-faceted, I wouldn't know what gender to ascribe it. I was actually wondering whether the U.S. would be considered masculine or feminine.Definitely masculine. A place like Sedona, AZ, would be feminine. Of course, it is named after the the man's wife, who founded the place.

Are you French? I know the French language assigns gender to objects: un, une, elle, il.
See, I always think of the US in the feminine.![]()

I Our homeless & our children bear the brunt of us not spending laws, legislation, dollars, time, resources on making them priorities & nurturing them.

Technically countries/land masses are referred to in the feminine form.
Our CEO was supposed to leave today for a 2 week vacation to Italy. Her flights were cancelled so she's here at the office instead. What a bummer!![]()
Almost every country is reopening the air port. Maybe she could be lucky tomorrow.
