No more trash service everyday?

Staying at grand Floridian on points for seven nights we leave tomorrow. They came for the trash and towels on the fourth day but never came just for the trash. Did they get rid of the daily trash service? One day we could of been in the room. All the other days we were in the parks from opening until at least six.

I just came back from 5 nights at AKL Jambo on points. They emptied trash every day, and did towels on day 4.

We stayed at Kidani a couple nights in March and a couple nights in April. No trash pick up either stay but they did come for their "security check."

We just got back from a 5 night stay at VGF, they came the first 2 days, but then didn't come after that.

Was at HHI in early April, trash was collected every day at the "security" check, towels and bath products replaced on the fourth day.

We've been members since 2007 and never had trash pickup everyday. What is a security check?

I have never had the security check skipped. But in many cases they gave up the pretense of the trash pickup and called a duck a duck. Remember the only reason for the trash pickup was an excuse anyway.

Ever since the Vegas shooting in 2017, they come in once a day to make sure you are alive and not stockpiling weapons. It's really a cursory nod since they do not actually "search" the room. I mean in most cases, they poke their head in the door, so I am not sure what it actually accomplishes (I mean nothing... it accomplishes nothing).

It's mandatory. If you have stayed in the past 5 years, you would not have missed it, but if you are at the parks, you usually will not notice. They try to do it when you are not there, but it's difficult if you are doing a resort day.
