No more Star Jones!

Ok, I saw the thread yesterday that she had announced that she would not be returning to The View in the Fall. Well, BW just announced that Star is gone now - she won't be back!

Hmmm, some of the "behind the scenes" rumors must have been true.

Wow, I want to know what else was said after yesterday's show to make Barbara tell Star not to come back!!

Barbara seemed genuinely upset and hurt- I like how she said that Star helped make the View, but the View made Star as well.

I never really liked Star too much- so it doesn't break my heart to see her go.

Is that all she said? They just went on with the show like nothing happened? Weird! Was it just the three of them (BW, Joy and Elizabeth)? That show is getting worse and worse...and will implode soon with the arrival of Rude Rosie!

I am know fan of Star but I think there is more to the story. The view and Barbara act like they are the innocents. They make it sound like they were doing her a big favor by not saying she was released from her contract. Give me a break. They know what they are doing. Rosie probably did not want to work with her just like she didn't want to work with Star. Politics at it's finest. I will not watch the show. Too much of what I deal with when I'm working with the group of women bosses I work with. Cut throats!! I hope the show goes right down the tubes.

I think the show got really boring. Now atleast there will be a different flavor
to the show. I can't wait to watch the 2 comedians totally takeover the show. Elizabeth who???????? She's annoying,but might be good material for
Joy & Rosie. I'm looking forward to the new show!

Drats! I knew I should have set my DVR to tape it today!

From what I have read, Star was supposed to do the announcement on Thursday and took it upon herself to do it yesterday. Also, she has been saying that she was fired. BW has publicly stated that Star's personna on the show has been bothersome to viewers (with all the wedding and Al stuff) She was given an opportunity to change the public's opinion of her and it just hasn't happened.

I completely agree and can understand why they didn't want to renew her contract!
