No More Snow White Ride at WDW?

I just received a map of WDW and in Magic Kingdom it doesn't show Snow White's ride at all. Did it close? I would miss it if they did.

Well, I thought it was strange. But the map shows all the other Magic Kingdom rides, but no Snow White.

I just got back on Tuesday from the World and it was open when we were there.

Oh thank you splash327. I guess it was just a mistake on the map. Now how could they leave out a whole ride in Fantasyland??

I couldn't see disney shutting down snow white. what else would they put there?

It may have been off the map temporarily if the ride was being refurbished

This map was sent to us since we just reserved our room at the Poly. I don't think they would have omitted the SW ride just because it was being refurbished. I think it was just an oversight since splash327 saw it was open this week.

I just got back on Tuesday (5/6) and it was open, with usual long lines, while we were there. Also it's on our map that we picked up at the entrance. Maybe some mis-printed maps got out?

Definitely misprinted maps. But such a big mistake. How in the world did it get passed the editors? Oh well, I'm glad that SW is still open. I love that ride.

This reminds me of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.... if I remember correctly, the same thing happened. It was never publicly (sp?) rumored to close, since it was a popular attraction. Instead, it shut down for a routine rehab and woke up with honey all over it. IMHO, I think it's safe given that the current Disney Gods are throwing their rehab dollars elsewhere.

I believe I saw somewhere that is was closed most of the winter on rehab and it opened in mid-April. So that might explain it being off the map. I do know that when things are on rehab, they drop it from the map.

What are you talking about? Yes it was publically rumored to closed. The Sentinel did an article on it. There were protests for most of 1998 about the ride closing. The group sold T-Shirts saying "Ask me why MR Toad". It was well known Toad was closing and people were upset. Disney finally confirmed its closing a week before.

You probably just overlooked it on the map. I dont think that they would close the SnowWhite ride because its been there since WDW opened and it was Walts first animated movie. I would think that its very important to everyone at WDW. So dont worry they wont close it.

I live here in Orlando. I go to the parks multiple times each week. It was down for about a week or so back in March I think. But it has been operating all winter. It only shut down once for a brief week. I picked up some park maps the other week for an out of town friend, I have a few left, I'm gonna look on my map to see if it's listed. Just looked at it, it's on the map I have. I was hoping I had one that didn't have it listed. Might be worth something if it's an error.

I guess you can't make that out. But believe me, we've both looked at that map and there is no SW ride listed on it.

I am glad to know that it is still there. I think I will keep it as an oddity. Somebody goofed.

I think I know what map you have. If you have a park map from the Pirate and Princess Party at Magic Kingdom, it will only list the rides that will operate during that event on the map. I have a map from the Halloween Party and it only listed the rides operating during that party.

Are you sure it's a regular park map and not a Pirate Princess Party Park Map?

I'm thinking this may be the reason it's not on the map. But I'm thinking snow white is part of the princesses at disney, and I would think that ride would have been running during the party. But I'm not sure as I never picked up a Pirate Princess Party Park Map, as I have not gone to one, and I wouldn't need a map anyways. I only pick up maps for out of town guests that need maps. I just happened to pick up a halloween part map for out of town guests once again. But I will be looking at the pirate princess party park map next time I'm over there when that dang party is going on. It's freaking been going on since jan or feb I believe. And they have extended the dates twice for it.
