Priority Seatings are no more! Effective immediately, Disney has changed the name of its dining "Priority Seatings" to "Advanced Reservations." (There are no changes to the process -- Advanced Reservations are made and work the same way as Priority Seatings did.)

Why in the world would they "FIX" what "ISN'T" broke???

Well hopefully they'll actually BE reservations--whereas you get to the restaurant and are seated at your actual time. When we went to Chef Mickey's we arrived about 1/2 hour early and we still weren't seated until 1/2 hour AFTER our PS time. Didn't quite make sense to me----people that DIDN'T have PS's were getting seated before we did---just because we had a PS for a specific time.

They're not changing anything about the process at all, just the name. It's supposed to be less confusing, but I think it just makes it more so to the average guest.

They never were meant to be reservations. You'll get the next available table for your party size. Calling them reservations only reinforces the idea that some people have that they're supposed to be.
