Hey, hijack away!!! Well, as for the magic... you do and you don't. Obviously I didn't since I'm getting married there! But, you do lose a bit of it. It depends on how much you work there. Honestly, for me, when I first started working there, I would spend every waking moment at the parks when I had time off. Nowadays (7 years later) I don't. You forget sometimes how amazing it is because you have access to go there all the time - but then there are moments, like last weekend, when DF and I realized we didn't have a lot of money to spend to go out, but we wanted to have a "date night". So we went to Epcot, had a couple drinks, sat on a park bench and watched Illuminations. That, my friend, is cheap date night. Imagine that? Pretty cool, huh?
So, to answer your question. You don't lose the magic! At least I haven't. I know that for DF and I, and probably most of our friends - you start working for the mouse because you love the mouse and you stay working at the mouse because you still love the mouse. I left the mouse 2 years ago (to get a "real job") but I still work there weekends. I don't do it for the money (although it helps!), I do it because it's fun and I get to be a part of something amazing. Wow, I sound like a cheezy commercial!
Conclusion? COME TO DISNEY! You wont regret it. Promise.
